The ToddFather didn't pull any punches after the game. He said there are players here that can't play at the NHL level and that there are some veterans that need to shape up or see ya later.

Edit: I like to hear that from him. Because this teams attitude is worse than sour milk. We all know this is gonna be a long season but the **** they pulled last year is starting to come back this season. And it needs to be taken care of quickly.
If I had to take a guess as to who the AAAA players are, who the lazy vets are and whose a problem.. I’d list the following
Adrian Kempe
Alec Martinez
Matt Roy
Ilya Kovalchuk
Trevor Lewis
Tyler Toffoli
Alex Iafallo

The kings make bad teams look good. 10 goals in two games [15 in 3], to teams who can't score and keep the puck out either. Terrible roadie.

I’d add Carter to that list too. I had to laugh when Faust said he and his 4 points had been a bright spot this year.

I think and I’ve seen that Carts isn’t what he use to be was but the guy is actually trying unlike some guys...
I see the following
Kopitar and Brown will have something going then Iafallo kills it
Amadio and Kovalchuk would have something then Lewis happens
Lizotte and Carts will be pushing the play then Toffoli happens
Kempe centers his line and nothing happens and for some reason he’s on the top PP unit wtf?
No one on the team is good enough to partner with Drew so that’s a problem
Hutton should realistically be our #5 running the 3rd pairing but Ryan has been ok there so now he’s our default #3
Marty, well I have nothing but live for the guy! He’s a trooper and all but he doesn’t seem to give a f*** with those Magic Johnson passes to the opposition!
Matt Roy should be in Ontario.. period

It’s a beach culture where the players dictate who the coach is and what style of hockey they want to play. How many coaches do the Kings need to cycle through before people realize these guys are overrated....

... or just too old to produce the numbers they did 8 years ago.

The young guys don't have the skill to finish yet. There may be 3 - 4 more years of **** coming

If I can respond to TM I'd tell him hey coach agree with you for calling out the players that are poop, now can you answer the question why someone would continuously put a useless plug on the first powerplay unit. Not that it matters it sucks regardless but just wondering thanks Todd. :DD

Lizotte is better off in the minors where he can ply his trade...he's not NHL caliber at this point...a 1 trick pony in my books

I'm beginning to think you could say that for EVERYONE (including the Reign). Nobody on the Kings have what it takes to win, not the veterans, not the kids, no one.

At the beginning of the season, I was willing to give people some rope to figure out who they were in the new system, guys would eventually out themselves, you know?

I love that TM seems on board with that right away, and you know him and Blake are on the same page right now, especially as per Dillman (Athletic) "Incidentally, Blake has been on hand for the last two games through the heart of the Central Division, getting a first-hand view of the situation."

My takeaway from that is Blake just got to see us getting rocked for 15 goals against in 3 games against at least two teams who have struggled as much as us and him and TM are now deep enough into the season to start tinkering.

And anyone on the roster that was pouting in the 2nd as Tm referenced in his discussion needs to be shipped out stat for pennies on the dollar. f*** that.

I missed the game and I missed the press conference what players do you think we're pouting?

Some fun plus/minus statistics for you guys so far this season:

1. Sean Walker, +5 (12gp)
2. Dustin Brown, +1 (12gp)
3. Kyle Clifford, +1 (12gp)
4. Joakim Ryan, 0 (5gp)
5. Kurtis MacDermid, 0 (5gp)
6. Nikolai Prokhorkin, 0 (1gp)

These are our only positive or even players. Meanwhile...

14. Tobias Bjornfot, -4 (3gp)
15. Matt Roy, -4 (12gp)
16. Adrian Kempe, -4 (12gp)
17. Ben Hutton, -4 (12gp)
18. Tyler Toffoli, -4 (12gp)
19. Michael Amadio, -5 (11gp)
20. Drew Doughty, -8 (12gp)
21. Jeff Carter, - 8 (12gp)
22. Ilya Kovalchuk, -10 (12gp)

Some more fun stats: Kopitar is tied for 31st in the league in scoring, Kovalchuk tied for 91st, Doughty tied for 120th, Brown tied for 156th.

Among the 45 goalies in the NHL that have started at least 5 games this year, Jack Campbell is 41st in save percentage at .880 and Jonathan Quick is 45th (and dead last) at .849. For goals against average, Campbell is 31st with 3.22 and Quick is, again, 45th at 4.48. If we remove the arbitrary five games started, Campbell is 51st out of 64 goalies in save percentage and Quick is 63rd out of 64. The only player with a worse save percentage in the league than Jonathan Quick is Oscar Dansk, who started 1 game for Vegas and let in 6 goals on 31 shots. Quick is tied with Sergei Bobrovsky for most goals allowed in the league with 31, although Bob has played two fewer games. The next highest goals allowed by a player with the same number of games played as Quick is 23 goals in 7 games, by Devan Dubnyk. Again, Quick has let in 31.

As a team, we are 31st in the league in goals against with 49, four more than the Red Wings. We are tied for 20th in goals for with 31. We have the fourth-worst power play percentage with - I'm not joking here - 8.9%. We have the 7th-worst penalty kill, at 73.8%. We lead the league in shots per game with 37.3 and allow the second-fewest per game, with 28.3. We're not too bad at faceoffs either - 10th-best in the league, at 51.3%.

So far, we are not a very good team. It's going to be a race to the bottom between Detroit, Ottawa, and Los Angeles. The only real question here is will any of these three win the lottery, or will we be picking 4-6 again?

There's only so many guys that they'll potentially be sending to Ontario. There won't be any sort of mass exodus or anything. The easiest non-UFA's to trade will be guys like Iafallo or Kempe. They have a couple years on their contracts, but they're still on the young-ish side. Nobody needs Lewis or Clifford yet. Who knows if anyone ever needs Toffoli, but if you're going to sell low, might as well wait until the deadline.

It’s a beach culture where the players dictate who the coach is and what style of hockey they want to play. How many coaches do the Kings need to cycle through before people realize these guys are overrated.

But TM isn't going anywhere. The players can suck all they want, but they're not getting another new coach this time.

I would disagree with the beach culture thing at this point because I think management does know this team is done. They messed up after 17-18, and they've admitted that. I think it's actually been kind of surprising with how public they've been with it. Whether Blake and Robitaille are the guys that should be in charge of a massive rebuilding project, only time will tell, but they've said they thought too much of the players that have been here forever. Now, because of the reality of the cap, they have little choice but to wait on the contracts of guys in their mid-30's to end. The Kings have somewhat become a retirement home, but if they could, I think they would get rid of those guys. They're stuck with them though.

We didn’t win in 2012 or 2014 because of talent alone. We had a strong forecheck and a hard-to-play-against system and the players bought in, because if they didn’t they wouldn’t play.

Let's not get crazy and say we weren't frustrated with those teams. They weren't constantly shuffling guys in and out all the time if anyone ever took a shift off. We can see why DL kept Richards around, even though everything said get rid of him. There wasn't one good reason to keep him, except that he was a winner. He was just that dude. We all know or knew that kind of guy.

Matt Roy has been horrible. Why is he still up here?

So bored with this team.

It's going to be him or LaDue. It's not going to get better for a while. We have to listen to management when they say that.

I felt for Campbell when he took a moment to sit down and soak it in after Carter botched it and led to third goal. I wouldn't mind if McLellan pull the strings to move on with him as the primary goalie for the rest of the season.

And you cannot have 2 wingers on the first line in which one has 4 points in 12 games and the other has ZERO points in last 7 games. Do the Kings have legit 1st line wingers? No.
It's time to break up that line. Give someone else a shot. Iafallo will not even crack 30 points.

I bet Martin what the Frk could play on line one and possibly be a 40 pt scorer with Kopitar. He has a great shot. Calling him up and giving him a shot and sitting someone would
be a wakeup call.

I was just about to suggest that we should give time to Frk and Kempe(the good one:laugh:)...
Toffoli and Lewis are on my immediate trade list.... Send down Roy, move Marty to the LH and lets roll that D without calling up Toby, Mikey and Kale... cant ruin those kids with these assholes... Boy do we need Forbort back... SOL's head just exploded:popcorn:

Forbort-Doughty.... We've all ragged on him but he is really missed
Hutton-Walker
Ryan-Martinez
MacDermid

I dont want the kids to have any part of this team! I said it to begin the season and i'm sticking to the whole... let the kids develop skill, comradery, and a winning culture... One more suck ass season gets us a chance at Laffy, Quinton, Drysdale or one of the Swedes...
