We will be fine for next season cap wise
We will need to move Miller or Moore for cap space...if we can’t unload Backes
We will most likely trade Miller and Keep Moore
Because Moore will be kept so he can go to Seattle in 20-21 in the expansion draft
I could see Krug traded if they win the cup and can’t agree to an extension this summer but if we don’t win the cup Krug is staying
And I still think Backes could be moved to a salary floor team having already been paid 23 of his 30 million
If we can move Backes we would have 10 million to play with and could bring back Mojo or sign someone for Krejci or Bergeron wing if they don’t trust the kids
Can we PLEASE stop putting totally unproven prospects, who have not developed at all, on the top line of a Stanley Cup contender. PLEASE. What has Anders Bjork done to even be considered for this spot? This is why we don't have a second line RW now. "Let's see what the kids can do",. they can suck. Donato was going to be a star, JFK was Bergeron lite, Bjork is still held up as some kind of future star. Ain't happening. Package up some of these b and c level prospects for proven talent or higher draft picks and hope whoever they draft is better than Donato, JFK or Bjork. Let's not forget Zach (14 goals in the AHL, 2 in the last 29 games) Senyshyn as a rw stud in training.
I like Frederic, like Studnicka I am not counting on them as top 9 players next year, desperate teams do this not teams that could win the cup this year and be a contender next year as well, but won't be with Anders ******** Bjork on the top line. Move some assets if you have to and create space to get a proven top 2 RW via trade or as a UFA or RFA if you aren't afraid of using the offer sheet and think you can make it work.
While Kuhlman has been decent would prefer a proven 3rd line rw but not as vital as a top 2rw.
