It was pretty clearly Dahlin. Sweden tended to put Liljegren and Dahlin out at the same time when they wanted to offensively pressure the other team.

Nope.

It was Moverare. He was on with Brännström.

Because Monten fell in love with the worst Dman on the roster.

Davidsson, Söderlund and Lindström were the forwards.

(Ahhh... maybe talking about different goals... I was talking about gamewinner.)

Then he had a Sweden jersey on 2 min later. Classic!

So all three Canada goals were undisputable, but Sweden clearly showed more skill. Canada had 6 PP:s without scoring. Sweden had 1. Diving but smart canucks vs skilled and not so smart Swedes. Classic final. Thanks for a good game guys!

Also: Finnish ref. Typical.

Again, it's not so much about the calls and the standard they reffed for Sweden. It's the constant non-calls for Canada that is at issue. Again, when a Canadian player does an identical play 2 minutes before a Swede is penalized for it, when the penalties in the game end 6-1, it just effing stinks. Talk about classical home refs. They could've had Mr Magoo reffing in the Canadian zone with better results.

Did I miss when a canadian player launched himself onto the ice and used his body to take down a Swedish player while he was about to possibly get a scoring chance?

Did I miss when the canadian player threw his leg out in the most obvious interference penalty I've ever seen 2 minutes before dahlin did?

I thought Ducharme has done a really good job 2 years in a row with teams that were not labelled favourites coming into the tournament. Deep, but not high-end talent and he got both squads to play structured hockey.
But he didn't play someones shiny new toy enough so get rid of him lol. He is getting results, point blank with two of the least heralded Canadian teams in years.

Wasn't he the guy that got beat on the 1st goal and the guy that turned it over for the 3rd?

Other than the ref, I'd say he was the second most responsible non-Canadian guy for Canada's win.
The first one, he got outmuscled. Yes its a mistake but its not horrible IMO.
The 3rd one, he got his stick slashed so cant blame him for that.
He had a great game and solid tournament. He wasnt the one responsible for the l9ss but sure keep saying silly stuff.
Lol at last sentence. Looks like your bitter

Considering Sweden only scored on the pk, isn’t it a good thing the refs were firm? Could have been shut out otherwise. The officials are usually pretty bad, but this game was hardly the worst.

I completely disagree about throwing your medal. I would want those guys on my team asap. They want to win. 2nd place is a joke.

My team beat Dave Hammond's team in Inline hockey (Narch if anyone knows it and he played on Team Canada's inline teams) and he chucked his 2nd place medal after he got it. Nothing but respect. 1st or nothing.

I sort of agree. Yeah, sportsmanship is important. But so is competitiveness, emotion, and the will to win. The loss was still fresh for him. It's understandable.

Actually thought the calls were all there, but Sweden did play a great game. Probably good enough to win. There have been a lot of years where I feel like Canada was robbed.

Now someone else gets to have that feeling.
Canada is the best hockey nation by far so perhaps stop robbing us who arent! ;)

You're right, USA - Sweden was a lot worse.

I think you are talking about the Steenbergen goal. The empty netter was Dahlin and Liljegren and that is when Dahlin was the last man back smashing his stick.
