didn't watch the game, how come Canada got 5 PPs and Sweden got 0? Was it deserved cause I feel like I got jobbed

Canada played great in third combined with too many sloppy stupid penalties from the Swedes.

I understand the Swedes feeling hard done by. It sucks feeling like you didn't have a fair shot. And I honestly have to agree with them. I'm happy my team won, and Sweden deserved most of their penalties but only getting 1 PP...there was a different standard for each team. Hats off to Carter Hart though, fantastic game and kept his team in it.

First WJC final versus Canada when we actually really felt like the better team. Its a bit symptomatic that Nylander didn't do anything this game... we needed him to step up. Its a bit sad that referees are so onesided, but I guess we knew that would be the case after the game vs USA. Oh well, good fun, great hockey and drama! This is why i love this tournament! Congrats Canada!

Liked the morale of the swedish players. They put in hard work to shut down the canadian powerplay.
In the long run it will be good for the swedish national team. They need to learn to hate Canada.

I saw number eight smashing his stick into the glass repeatedly after the GA. He was on-ice.

It was pretty clearly Dahlin. Sweden tended to put Liljegren and Dahlin out at the same time when they wanted to offensively pressure the other team.

No they didnt. Sweden was taking dumb penalties that were deserved. I thought Sweden got away with alot.

6-1 in penalties for Canada. You can't win a game when you're constantly on the PK, even though Sweden came close.

Then maybe don't take obvious, undisciplined penalties? Just an idea.

Feel pretty fortunate to have won that, the team's passing was so bad not to mention the PP. The Swedes were faster and stronger on the puck and far more aggressive (though also stupid with those penalties). Anyways, weird that this underdog Canada team won the gold while some of the past powerhouses fell short of the final.

Also please ffs no more head coaches from the QMJHL.
