Being so upset by the loosing team seems suspicious. Like good winners u should just let it go. You got the gold no matter how much the rest of the World think you deserved it or not. You are the biggest hockeynation in history, but yet find it necessary to bully smaller countries after a win. And about all the silver medals sweden got. Maby Sweden had no business being in most of those finals but still got there. For me thats a strength not a weakness from such a small country.
You won boys.............................grow up and move on for everyones sake.

How many Canadian fans were calling out the Americans for diving in the semis in the GDT? How many? Stop being hypocrites. Shut up already. Canada has always been the *******s of the hockey world. Chicken Swedes? Does that ring a bell? When will Canadians apologize for anything? I still vividly remember the hit on Forsberg by that rat Rob Neidermayer. Find me something equally egregious done by a Swede to a Canadian in international hockey.

There are always idiots supporting any country: trolls, people blinded by patriotism, bigots, etc.

Did the US dive? I'd have to go back and look, I didn't watch that game closely enough. Odds are they didn't, or didn't to any egregious degree. The US is a rival of Canada in hockey, there are lots of Canadians who will view them with bias. The main thing I remember from that game was the ugly slash at the end.

The difference is that in the cold light of day you continue to support the embellishment narrative during discussion about it, when you are being confronted with the evidence that it is untrue. Are you one of those types listed above, or can you own up and say that it just wasn't the case; that the video is promoting a lie, for example?

It touched a nerve with me and then got my interest because the degree and uniformity of the delusion is extraordinary and it is fascinating to probe it. You want me to let the insults go because the losers suffered enough, and I get that. Typically that's what I would do, but you all keep doubling down on the false story.

I just want those who stand by the narrative to be forced to confront the evidence... none of them seem willing. I haven't been seeing any Swedes speaking strongly against the narrative either, and you would expect there to be some embarrassed by their compatriots who pushed it and wanting to assure people that not everyone there is so irrational. It isn't about the hockey anymore, it is mainly an epistemological/sociological experiment for me at this point -- albeit tinged with frustration at the injustice.

Falsly is in the Eye of the beholder and in my view the evidence is as clear as for u. In my eyes the Canadian players enhanced the Lindström "hit" and the Lias hook. One flew like mitton instead of a mansized boy and the other held the stick, subtel so the refs didnt see and fell easy. But US clearly dived on at least one play. Im not used to Us or canadian players enhancing situations on the ice that much, thats all. Its still up to the refs to decide . With that said i would not call the Canadian team divers but some of them enhanced the situation. That doesent mean its not a penalty, but it should go both ways. I feel Sweden was cheated of one or two penaltys . But that goes with the game. Its just different views on the calls and the non calls and no clearly right or wrong.

Yes, we obviously see it differently. I'm tired to show with video links and explains why I think you are not seeing with balance. There was embellishment both ways, if anything more by Sweden. Brannstrom, Pettersson twice, Liljegren. Lindstrom's two victims would have had to defy physics to avoid falling. However we each see it, it seems crazy for anyone to say that embellishment was a story in this game.

I don't know about the US. You cannot add what they might have done to what you think Canada did, they are two different teams. I doubt the US was bad based on your claim, because know Canada wasn't.

I respect the game Sweden played greatly, and every year they are a contender to win. This year they were so skilled and determined. The final was a great game and they easily could have come out the winner. It was clear that the loss devastated them and that's rough. There should be no shame in how they did (until they were disrespectful), but there also shouldn't be so much disrespect for the team that did win.
One good thing out of this, we should never hear the story that only Canada cares about the WJC ever again! Finland sure cared when they won it and Sweden sure cares as well. Best of luck to all the teams next year, it always bring some great hockey and sometimes some memorable drama.

It is in Canada every 2nd year, not "permanently moved to Canada". I'd be annoyed about this too, it isn't that fair. Alternating North America / Europe seems more reasonable. It was in Finland the year before last and the Czechs are hosting the year after next. It would be nice if you could speak without making shit up.

1 pp to 5 if we ignore the berserker attacks at the end. Does Swedish socialism imply there should be an equality in the penalty outcome, regardless of what the players do? The only call in the game that was generated by a dive was the Brannstrom dive.

Next time you want to troll go with the 2 min vs 22 min stat. If you are going to be dishonest anyway you might as well go all out.

You didn't hear a peep out of Swedish hockey fans when they got more PP time over Finland in the 2014 Final. Its a natural reaction for losing fans to blame the refs..as delusional as it may be, anyone watching the game can see Canada played very disciplined compared to Sweden and they deserved to be called on every one of them.

Those saying that the refs favour Canada, go look at the stats of Canada's other games.. the Czechs got more PP time than Canada in the semi. In Canada's outdoor game against the US the Americans also got more PP time than Canada, the Americans got double the time on the PP actually.

Finland also got more PP time against Canada.
