All I heard about coming into this tourney was the powerhouse finns with 5 1st rounders on the blueline. Nothing I've seen from that team has impressed me in the slightest this tournament.
They aren't going to win with the forwards they have, half the team can't skate and they give up odd man rushes like crazy.

The U.S is going to be the most hated team at this tournament by the fans here because of one guy on this site.

I mean, he's insufferable, you cant help but want them to lose now just to shut this guy up.

How exactly does USA execute a perfect breakout ON THE PK?! That's how bad Finland's game is right now.

I've said this before but we need a coach who knows something about smaller rink, going to be a short tourney and a wasted tourney if we can't wake the hell up.

Our forwards are terrible? We can't go far with just only defensemen who can't even get puck to the net. Our defense otherwise has been fine.

Don't know how to play on small rink.

Yeah, I think it's safe to say that team Finland and WJC hockey on NA rinks just don't mix.

Also, I can't remember the last time a Finnish first line had so little chemistry at this level.

I have NO IDEA why people are blaming finlands defense.

Coming into tonight 4 of top 5 leaders in SOG for finland are defenseman.
Defense is least of their concern.

We did absolutely nothing at the World Cup as well, last years tourney was an embarrassemtn at WJC.
Not a good look.

Our F depth is getting blame but our top scorers are allowed to score a goal, if they did we'd see our forward group differently.

Heponiemi, Koivula, Kuokkanen and Vesalainen are useless. All of them have seem to forgotten how to skate too.

WTF are those powerplay setups? Just put Ikonen and Räsänen on the left side so there are right handed shooters.

NFL/Bills are playing at the same time and that team needs help to make playoffs for first time in forever.

Too much logic for these boards. Whoever scheduled these games from USA Hockey did a terrible job. Main draws during work on a day after Christmas, Bills/NFL games, back to back 16 hours against Canada...etc

I really hate this "modern" take on Finnish coaching by coaches like Marjamäki, Ahonen, Rautakorpi etc.

It seems like the entire purpose is to make the game as boring as possible, it's never worked, it's always in trouble against fast teams and the players never look like they're enjoying themselves. All it's good for is boring wins vs inferior material. Can we stop considering coaching like this good already?

The problem is that Finland doesn’t have any coach with experience from small ice.

And the reason for that is that we have large ice here in Finland. Some would have already coached in the NHL if they left for NA ices at earlier parts of their career.
Too bad there's literally no way for them to make that leap BECAUSE OF THE LARGE ICE TACTICS
