A win would have been nice. But eh, we'll be *probably* getting the Czechs now, and I frankly prefer them to Russia.

I'm just going to be content with the fact our heavy hitters finally got some snake serum into them. That's a very welcome thing.

Especially because we may need to do some outscoring to get somewhere. UPL isn't complete garbage, but he's not exactly completely consistent either.

Gongrats USA. At least our poor western neighbors don't have to play their final game now feeling all torn and confused.

Yanks really have interesting teams year to year recently. Still need headcoaching tho, badly.

The US got most of their quality scoring chances on the pp when Canada took 5 consecutive penalties. 5on 5 the US had some control in the offensive zone but didnt get alot of Hugh scoring chances. 2 of the 3 goals the US scored was on the pp and one of those was a 5 on 3.
This is what I was trying to say, thanks.

Pretty much confirmed what someone said earlier
Valimaki and Heiskanen got destroyed. They couldn't get the puck out of their own zone.
Juolevi and Jokiharu were playing really well.

Who's Finland's opponent in quarterfinal Czech Republic or Russia.
Not that i expect Finland win that game i'm just curious.
If Sweden gets even a point from Russia (a win or tie in regulation), we're going to get the Czechs. If Russia wins in regulation, then SWE or CZE, depending on GD.

Sweden defeated the Czechs in their round robin game, isn't that the first tie breaker? So even if the Swedes lost in regulation, they'd finish higher in the standings?

Hoping Sweden beats Russia. That way we get USA vs. Russia in the QF, and the winner of that game will likely face Sweden in the Semis. As a hockey fan, those are the match ups i want to see.
