Good ending for the Czechs. It wasn't really a blowout but they looked like a top team after looking much worse against Belarus and earlier in today's game.

The third period was OK. I believe in helped a lot to send Kořenář back into the net. He allowed one very easy goal yesterday, but against Russia he wasn't bad, and he did no mistake today. Looks better than Škarek and should start the QF.
Nečas - Zadina is a terrific combo, Chytil wasn't so visible today. But a good game at the end, since the 4th goal, it had certain qualities. Let's wait whom will the Czechs match in the QF.

Shots 60-30 for Czech Republic.

Skarek allowed some bad goals, Korenar should start QF game... and our defense was once again not strong (which is a bad sign against this Swiss team) and again... plenty of stupid penalties on top of that. That needs to end. This team is absolutely talented enough to beat Finland in QF, but could just as easily lose... We need to be much better defensively, but defense is just not good enough, it seems. Still pretty good chance that we could play against Slovakia in QF, lol!

Zadina-Necas-Michnac line was terrific. They just toyed with Swiss defense.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see Necas make the Hurricanes next year, especially with our need down the middle.

Well deserved win. This is how we have to play. Better start of the match than against Belarus, more skating and especially shooting. Pity Škarek didn´t make some quite easy saves, but Kořenář did good job. Final score is quite flattering for Swiss team, because nr. of shots was insane (60-30?). Offense is looking really good (Zadina, Nečas, Chytil, Michnáč and especially Reichel was really good today as well..). I am really happy, that guys beat them, we know that Switzerland is very "unpopular" team for us and they know how to play against us. I wish you all Happy New Year, good health and one more wish. Slovakia should beat Denmark and maybe we will have Czecho-Slovak QF here
