And had it not been for a terrible defensive breakdown it wouldn't have worked either....both teams have to play simple and just fire pucks at the net.....with this visibility it's definitely a shooters advantage...get pucks to the net at every opportunity

As a defensemen, you know the forechecker is taking you into the boards, thats the expectation. You are taught how to defend yourself. What Comtois did was far from over the top and pretty standard. It was an unfortunate play and 2 minutes is fair but its nothing more than that. I saw someone suggest the ice playing into the result and I can buy that as well.

As a forward, you're taught to wrap the guy and ride him into the boards, not shove him from three feet out. Dirty play, deserved five and a game.
