First period over, how was the game running? Finns couldn't capitalize double PP. How did they play?

Considering the quality of the opponent, Finland really struggles with generating high quality scoring chances in a controlled manner.

They look sloppy again like the did Tuesday. Their passing and movement just hasn't been crisp.

Man, we look bad in every aspect of the game. This will be an embarrasing exit from the topflight if we play this bad the rest of the tournament.

Why do we always put a dwarf in the net?

Territorial and shot dominance, and yet I don't think they played that well. Passing was off. Lots of turnovers. Powerplay struggled a bit including on an extended 5 on 3. However, as they continue to possess the puck, they should settle down and pop some goals.

Nothing Finland does is controlled. Bunch of skilled individuals doing their own thing.

Though 4th line is good. Not surprised.

Yep. Looks like an extremely poorly coached team. Same thing vs Canada.

Separate things this "coaching" and "game plan". They are not the same thing. The latter is missing or the execution is not good to be honest, but for the 1st you can't do much in the tournament.

It's shame because with this defense Finland should be able to control the pace and play good structured game. Someone like Jalonen would love defense like this in his game plan.

I wonder if Ahokas' u18 teams just steamrolled opponents with talent. Don't think it works here.

Hoping for a more competitive game from here on out. This one reminds me of some of the 80's WJC games.

Hmmm...

I'm pretty sure having a game plan is a pretty fundamental aspect of coaching.

There is no way we finish top 4 in this tournament.
- can't score 5-3 goal vs Denmark!!!

Wher's the advertised high tempo skating agrresive checking style of play
wasn't present vs Canada, isn't present tonight.

This gotta be the slowest system that team Finland has used,ever,...
- Where's Miro's and Eeli's trade mark rushes?
- Where's Hepo's blistering speed?
- What about Ikonen? where's his run and gun style
