I hope this team is not going to repeat last years teams performance in terms of clearing their zone but I am already witnessing problems first game, some real weak and stupid attempts at clearing the zone by Canada today.

They should be able to do much better in that regard, it is frustrating.

Best defense yeah but only in paper.
That defense needs massive improve to be even close the best of tournament.

The NHL has smaller crease sizes. When the NHL had these larger creases, pucks that went through the crease negated icing.

Tolvanen, Vesalainen, Koivula and Heponiemi have been pretty good from the Finish offence. Others not so good at all. Kuokkanen has been really bad, and as someone noticed already, the third line has been pretty much terrible.

Defencemen have been making way too many mistakes. Heiskanen has been quite a disappointment, and Juolevi is making way too many mistakes. Jokiharju has been pretty good, but otherwise no Finnish defencemen have really impressed much.

Unfortunately also Luukkonen let in a couple of softies. Otherwise he has been pretty ok though. It looks like Finland is still a bit at least suffering from the time difference and also adjusting to the smaller rink. Not a disaster for Finland so far, but still a bit disappointing definitely.
