That TC squad would kick our ass big time.. Thats how bad we are.. I would probably rather have any of those defensemen over Alzner or Morrow..
I was especially impressed with Robinson (don`t know his first name).

It will be interesting to see if any of them earn NHL contracts for next season off these games. I would think that at least a few will get invites to next falls camps.

Robinson was okay but then again so was Sekac...

To no ones surprise.. Patrick Chan choked in both his programs. Will not medal. His final games so he won't have a chance to disappoint again.

He’s like Adam Van Koeverden in the Summer Olympics. People go on and on about how great they are and they ultimately come up short on the biggest stage.

To be fair to Chan, no one was going to beat that Japanese kid.

If there is one winter Olympic sport over the years where Canada hasn't even had a legitimate sniff for a medal, I cant think of a better example than ski jumping.

We used to have a jumper named Horst Bulau who was a multiple World Cup winner. Didn't do that well at the Olympics, but he was always ranked.

I remember Horst Bulau at the 1992 Olympics . I was excited for our world class ski jumper, and he finished like 40th, not even a Canadian special "personal best" that we used to settle for. Then Ken Read's son Stefan read had some hype, but looking back on it, it was just hype I guess.

The problem was that there was no team. Just some guys and Bulau. Having had the Olympics and a huge spurt of interest in winter sports, we should have a much stronger competitive presence in jumping.

Quite the cliffhanger going on with Canada's women's curling team right now, as they're looking to defeat Switzerland.

And the Homan team wins it in the 10th end when the Swiss overthrow their rock. I never thought there could be so much tension from bocce on ice but it was certainly dramatic. As dramatic as can get from what is mostly slo-mo action and delayed outcomes from each throw. The real tension is in the competitors' faces. Good job Canada, won this game 10-2.
