Mixed double in curling will have to get better. Canada played really BAD today in the semi final but easily won 8-4 against Norway. They'll play for gold tomorrow but worst case scenario it's another silver.

Chan with a nice showing in the figure skating team competition. Canada will probably have its first gold of the Games in that event in 2-3 hours. Next up for Canada is Gabrielle Daleman in Ladies Singles and Virtue/Moir in Ice Dance. Canada has 55 points, Cheaters (aka Russia) 48 points and USA 44 points.

Got to admit, my heart was pumping pretty hard in the latter half of his run as it was going so well in the first.

Shame about Gagnon. So close.

It's really fascinating watching different sports judged/awarded different ways. 3 rounds, 1 run each. If you mess up even once, you're out. And it's SUCH a difficult sport, it's crazy.

Absolutely incredible to not only be able to put together such a great run as he did, but to also make 0 errors 3 runs straight. The slightest error and you're out.

To make a bad hockey parallel - it would be like playing all 4 rounds of the stanley cup playoffs as sudden death OT, 1 game elimination. Single mistake and you're out.

with the time difference it is hard to keep up-to-date with the Olympics. After a dreadful year in Montreal sports (habs, Impact, Alouettes...the only bright spot are Les Canadiennes). It is good to have a favorite team do well. Go Canada go!

So, Jean-René Dufort says he's trying to talk to Kim Jung-Un's sister tomorrow...

That man might be a comedian but you gotta give him credit for his huge balls.

"Jean-René trying to seduce Kim Jong-un's sister in the name of Canadian diplomacy. Her naughty smile is unequivocal: she is under the spell. JR may not return after the Games to become North Korea's Premier Mister. We'll keep you posted."

I know for the past 3 days almost all all of the medal events with Canadians in contention tend to be either late evening (so 8-9pm) or early morning (so 6-7am). Which isn't bad.

There haven't been many 1-5am finals so far. Example for tonight/tomorrow, here's what i'm looking forward to, all watchable if you wake up early:

Curling Final - 6am
Luge Final womens - 3rd run starts at 530am (likely ends closer to 630-7)
Short Track speed skating finals for women's 500m - 707am
Men's speed skating 1500m - 6am

And the snowboarding Half-Pipe final for women is at 9pm tonight (no canadians though).

So so far the time difference hasn't been too bad. Hoping it stays this way.

I hate that. I know the purpose of his show is to be funny but that kind of thing makes her seems nice. But there's nothing nice about North Korea.

That's what they were saying live on TV and what Jean-René actually said as well. The whole North Cheerleaders squad and Kim's sister are all over the Korean news. Jean-René also said that if he would become Premier of North Korea, he would make peace great again. On a more serious note, he also said that the whole thing was some big propaganda.
