Went to Wrigley for the first time yesterday. Immediately went to the top of my best ballpark list. There is truly nothing like that atmosphere out there.

I have to make it to Fenway to compare now.
Fenway is the only park that is on Wrigley's level. I like Fenway even better but it's a matter of opinion, both are the best places in the world to catch a ball game. San frans and San diegos parks are up there though for modern stadiums. Petco is what I wish citizens bank was. Goal one day is to watch a game at every mlb stadium, I just passed the halfway mark two weeks ago when I went out to southern California for a long weekend to catch games in San Fran, San Diego, LAD, and LAA. Was majorly disappointed in LAD. Stadium is a dump I thought.

That’s awesome. Also my goal to try and see all if not most ballparks... (only at 7 .. lol)

Yeah something about being in a 100+ year old ballpark makes it feel so much cooler. Thinking of all the greats that stepped foot there as well. Also, thought it was relaxing to not have the modern flash to it, like others.

Ramon Rosso looking impressive again, 10k’s through 5 innings. He's off to a great start so far this season in Lakewood, wouldn't be surprised if he's in Clearwater next month.

That's exactly it to me... it's why parks like Petco, Camden, and AT and T will age much much better than "new" Yankee stadium or Citi Field.

heck of a game tonight, VV with another impressive outing, can't get over how impressive the pitching has been. Surprised they brought in Seranthony Dominguez with 2 on but nice job by him, they really might have something in him.

Adam Morgan was activated from the DL, Arano pitched in LV so he's got to be close although not much room so not sure what they will do once everyone is healthy.

I keep waiting for them to blow up but they keep on going. Are we a Brad Lidge type closer away from a 08’ Phillies run?

I kind of like the bullpen (as they are attempting to blow this lead) and they are missing their best reliever. Most teams in contention add a bullpen piece or two, Phillies might need another lefty, but they are already having a tough time finding spots for all of these guys as it is.

If Eichkhoff can come back and be productive, they have a pretty good rotation. Odubel is a machine.

Eickhoff isn’t even guaranteed to be in the rotation if Eflin continues to pitch well. De Los Santos is dealing in AAA. Cole Irvin is pitching well too if they want a lefty. Eshelman has struggled but he pitched well last year in AAA and in the spring this year.

Arm wise they are in pretty good shape.

Machado. They get him and if the pitching holds up they should be in the playoffs. The hitting has been a real problem, especially with Hoskins and Kingery struggling of late. Getting Machado would be sick, and do wonders for the lineup, depending on the cost of course.

Santana is raking, which makes the Rhys slump easier to deal with.

Anyone have any early favorites for #3.

holding out hope that Tigers and SF pass on Casey Mize for underslot deals. Nick Madrigal sounds interesting, Alec Bohm is who most mocks seem to have us taking, there's some talk of interest in Travis Swaggerty but would be surprised to see them go with another OF in the 1st round.

So the Phillies have the 3rd pick?

If only the baseball draft was a predictor in building a winning team. Total crapshoot.

Kiley McDaniel over at Fangraphs said he talked to scouts who said Adonis Medina might be a better prospect than Mize fwiw. He's not a sure thing either. Just the cleanest of the bunch so people assume he's going 1.

Swaggerty seems to be slipping.

You can throw Joey Bart into the equation too if he doesn't go 1 or 2. College catcher. Questionable hitter, but has pop, arm strength, and is a good defender.
