Lajoie looks similar to Wolanin last night. Super poised under pressure and smooth puck movers. Both have tremendous hockey sense.

This is why these tourneys are not really a good idea. Evans last night, Formenton today, the kids are trying too hard to make an impression. They would never do this stuff in pre-season against NHLers knowing they would get killed.

I remember Boucher saying last season that Lajoie was the biggest standout in training camp. No surprise to see him wearing the C tonight.

Lajoie looks really good. I’m impressed with the way he battles. You can tell he has played pro and is harder to play against than he has been in previous iterations of this event.

I’m more impressed with him than Jaros who I found a bit underwhelming on the puck.
