Excellent question. My thought is that elite players will push and adjust to what they have. Look, it there is no chemistry then if it does not work then it does not work. Full stop. BUT, we have said (well some of us have said) that change ZBad' support and you could well be looking at a 90 point center that most would call elite. I think it is worth it to find out.
I am a believer that with a natural progression and just a better overall supporting cast he will hit the 80 next year and this whole nonsensical debate on IF he is a #1 center will disappear. If he elevates to 90 that's kissing elite territory. Either way this guy is a #1...

He is absolutely a #1. How anyone can debate that, I have no idea. And he goes against the opposition's top forwards. I would argue that he was border "elite" to begin with. Adding Panarin to his line, will push him across the border. Just my 2 cents.

I think a healthy Zibanejad is easily in contention to be the NHL's most underrated player. I think in the right scenario, if everything falls into place, he's an 80-90 point center.

Personally, I'm fine if the rest of the league never sees it coming.

For some reason, every fricken time I see Kravtsov, I hear Kraster in my head: "He's prettier than half my daughters."

That aside, he really seems like he can't wait to show the world what he's up to. Like: "You think Kakko is the ****, wait till you see my ****."

Kakko is probably going to be the more consistent player but Kravtsov has a bag of tricks I haven't seen on the Rangers ever. He thinks outside the box. He plays All Star hockey in regular season games. It's ridiculous. I think only Elias Pettersson and Nikita Kucherov do that stuff with ease in the NHL. This new generation is fun to watch

Someone like Marner perhaps?

Kakko and Kravtsov being the Rangers Matthews and Marner would be amazing (except for the whole center thing)

I see a lot of Filip Forsberg in him. Forsberg isn't Kucherov, but he pulls off crazy moves regularly.

and to think we dont have a top 50 player in the league.

hes on the cusp for sure.

if healthy, and if he plays with panarin and any of the other forwards plus centers that PP1, mika can get to that 80 point mark which will comfortably place him in that top 50.

Asked how much of a help Kravtsov had been during the summer’s workload, Shesterkin cracked, “He doesn’t help me. We don’t talk.”

Igor was surprisingly funny. I watched that interview (NYR FB page posted it) and he handled himself pretty well

I’d definitely put Panarin in the top 50 without hesitation. I think Zibanejad has a shot to get in that ballpark. I could argue that if Trouba performs like some hope, he would sit somewhere in the 50-100 range.

Kakko should get there. Kravtsov and Shesterkin have the potential to get there, or at least in that 51-100 range.

The key is those guys actually getting there, and having overlap while there.
