I spoke to him (Alex Nunn) and he knows. He just doesn't really know what to do about it. It is just annoying. Give credit to the person who puts in the work. They did the same with my Kravtsov stat tweets earlier this season.

Any time, man. Happy to help.

Yeah, and it would look good on them that they're acknowledging their fans. They probably hire a ditzy 22-year-old social media manager that says "literally", "like", and "Oh my God" a lot and doesn't know her ass from her elbow. So they probably want to cover that up.

Yeah. It doesn't bother me as much as it maybe should? My tweets are just text. Alex puts effort into it actually editing the videos while watching the game live.

Honestly, it's short-term thinking. They want to look like they know everything, but people will catch up to it. And it would make them a much more fan friendly looking organization if they do the right thing.

Exactly. It doesn't hurt them by giving credit. I would love to see them credit me for the stats they flat out stole, because it would result in some more followers and at the end of the day I want my work, my stats, to reach as many fans as possible.

Do they also not give credit to players for some of their content?

I’m not a big twitter guy but I see that sometimes the same content appears in NY Rangers tweets and players tweets.

That might be different because their players are basically their employees? It annoys me because when Elias tweets certain stats, they have no problem crediting them (Per @EliasSports, etc etc), yet when fans posting content, they just blatantly steal it and pass it off as their own

Ah, good point(s).

It makes sense actually. Elias has the credibility. If the NHL shares some random person's content maybe they think they would lose credibility.

The only way they'd lose credibility is if the stats are incorrect. But they have no problem jumping on it and sharing it. When it comes to the videos, they probably think they can get away with it. But the videos they use, are 100% taken from Alex. It's noticeable to me because of the way the video is edited.

As silly as this is, I wonder if Alex has a lawyer friend that can help him out. He probably wouldn't have a leg to stand on. But maybe he can write a strongly worded letter. This is pissing me off.

It’s not worth it. Maybe eventually it leads to some sort of recognition or a future benefit that being recognized by an organization such as NY Rangers could provide but for now if I were you I’d think about it as building a goodwill. Again IMHO
