Hes is going to take the title of OT Jesus away from Pionk.

His top speed isn't as great as Kreider or Hagelin, but he has this stutter-step burst in his stride that puts defenders on the wrong foot. This is a perfect example. He had a similar rush against Magnitogorsk where he just fools a defender into thinking he goes inside, and he skates around him the other way

I think eventually he'll be able to just overpower defenders with this move as opposed to beat them with pure speed.

Is it safe to say Traktor is significantly worse this year than Severstal was Buch’s last year in the K?

Getting shut out by Kunlun is...not great. Also would like to see Kravtsov get more than 13 minutes...

I think the two are comparable. Traktor has had a brutal start to the season but Cherepovets that year finished bottom-2 with just 12 wins in 60 games.

Traktor had 25 shots today...15 of those shots came from the defense and just 10 shots came from the forwards..

this is quickly looking like a disaster. if this kid has a lost D+1 year it will be a killer for his development.

Just steer clear of the main boards, unless you want to be trolled, get into flame wars, and deal with morons. Most people there are reasonable, but just due to the shear volume of posters, there are a ton of idiots.

I've never understood how some people can have the posting numbers they do.

You'd have to post something every two minutes, for damn near 18 hours a day.

Yeah. At one point I think I was posting 9 times per day. My number has steadily crept down over the years to about 6.5. A lot of the time now, I see a discussion, and want to jump in, and then I'm just like, not even worth it. I still spend too much time on here, but I do a lot more reading and a lot less posting. I also don't generally participate in GDTs. I used to a lot, as a mod and admin, I kinda had to. I mean I was there to keep it clean, but as a result you end up posting 20 times over the course of a game.

Lost year meaning a terrible season on a clown job team in Siberia. That’s a lost year and it’s quickly headed in that direction

I don't see that as a lost year. He's still developing. He is learning how to deal with losing which is just as important as deadling with winning. He's a lock for the u20 team for the WJC. You don't have to score 40 goals for it to count as good development

There was someone on here back in the day, who I won't name, who had something like 24,000 posts in their first year . That's just shy of 66 posts per day. Assuming they needed 8 hours a day to sleep, that works out to one post every 15 minutes for 16 hours per day!

And they weren't/aren't alone.

Nope, about the same. Guessing where you are going with it - are you trying to compare production between Buch and Krav in these years?

Not necessarily. Just another highly rated Rangers prospect that plays for a terrible KHL team.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. Playing for a mediocre team helps develop certain skills. He was part of a successful Traktor team last year, now he's on a team that started atrocious. Different circumstances, different results. He will learn something from this you can't learn when you play for SKA. I don't want to bring Shestyorkin into this, but I wish Shestyorkin had 1 or 2 years on a mediocre team. To see him deal with different environments etc

It’s difficult otherwise for a 17/18 year olds to get a spot in the lineup.

IMHO this Traktor team is better than Severstal then at least up front. Titov is on notice already and could well be the second coaching casualty this season. In KHL there’s little patients with head coaches.

True. And let's not forget that Traktor had to go through a lot or changes. It takes a bit to gel for that team. They're not out of the play offs yet. They definitely can make it if things start clicking.

Yup, too early to call it a “lost” season just yet either for the prospect or his team.
