The Rangers most reliable writer Larry Brooks said yesterday that Boqvist is not a target for the Rangers at #9. Unfortunate, I know.

Oilers have a huge need for a right handed PP defenseman with a big shot. They've had it for numerous years now. I'd be shocked if they passed on Bouchard for a winger.

And Edmonton taking Farabee over Bouchard just isn't going to happen!

The Oilers just need help almost everywhere on their roster, PK and PPD mostly. I see Bouchard more as a offensive specialist, while contributing little in defence in the NHL. Farabee is more of a do it all player, good 200 foot game and on the PK. I would not be shocked at all to see Farabee’s name called at 10, nor would I be shocked to see Bouchard called at 10

That’s somewhat surprising. They found success with Andersson last year so I thought it would’ve made sense for them to go back into Sweden, guess I was wrong

Wouldn’t shock me to see Dubas take a centre, but he said he’s not paying attention to positional needs, so I see them taking a RD in Addison who can help them build a good future offensive right side in Zaitsev, Liljegren and Addison

I agree, edmonton needs some defence now, even if they were looking for a forward, bouchard is a couple tiers higher then farabee.

Your definitely not wrong for thinking that, but just can’t see them passing Bouchard. He checks off a few potential boxes for oilers. The oilers can always fix the PK through free agency/ minor trades and their resent coaching shakeup.

I completely agree there, but teams don’t always go BPA. If Chiarelli wants to improve his PK, I see Farabee as a better option then Bouchard
I don't think many teams drafting in the top 10 have ever considered penalty killing abilities. And that's definitely not the characteristic teams are looking at Farabee for.

I will be pissed if we pass on Bouchard. Chiarelli basically traded Hall for Larsson because he coveted a right handed guy so much. Would completely go against his word passing on a right handed defenseman who fills our biggest need.
