Well...I don't know if those two are really comparable. Zuccarello has been a top-flight offensive winger for years now. Holik was good, but for some reason everyone, from GMs to scouts to coaches, conveniently forgot that for all his defensive prowess, Holik was never even on the first or second penalty kill units in New Jersey. The narrative was that Lou and the organziation asked him to focus on his defensive game to help the team and he'd get rewarded when it came time, then used his not-stellar offensive totals against him in arbitration. Truth is, he was just a really good checking line center, nothing more. Why so many teams got into a bidding war for his services will forever be one of hockey's great mysteries. The Leafs made a big run at him as well.
