Scott records his 5th shutout of the playoffs with a 1-0 win. Only 4 other goalies have ever done it in the WHL and the record is 6.

Since game 1 when he let in 5 goals, he's 3-0-0 with a 0.67 GAA and a .980 SV% with 2 shutouts. He wants that championship!

Ian Scott got a 36 save 1-0 shutout today, 1 day after a 8-2 win. He has 5 shutouts in the playoffs
Quit doing my job:sarcasm:

I don't understand these numbers. But seems we have another good D-man brewing.

I struggled parsing the format as well, but I think he's saying:

He got a primary point on 32% of his teams 5v5 goals.
He got a point (primary or secondary) on 42% of his teams 5v5 goals.
He has 1.18 primary points per 60 minutes of ice time (that's _probably_ 5v5...)
He has 1.55 points (primary or secondary) per 60 minutes of ice time (that's _probably_ 5v5...)
TotCat% is his percentage contribution to even strength goal differential (I think his "contribution" to goals for as percentage of team and his "avoidance" of goals against as percentage of team?) -- I don't understand this one well enough to put it into a sentence...
He is involved in 19.5% of his teams total goals per game (individual ppg / team gpg) -- I think this includes PP.

The TotCat% and INV% attempt to adjust production and suppression for players who are on really good teams v.s. players who are on really bad teams.

Just a follow up on Scott, Only 5 goaltenders in WHL history have played at least 15 games in the playoffs and have had BOTH a better GAA AND SV% than Scott has this year.

Age 20:

Mac Carruth 2012/13 1.63 GAA .937 SV%

Age 19:

Dustin Slade 2005/06 1.31 GAA .938 SV%
Laurent Brossoit 2012/13 1.82 GAA .935 SV%
Ian Scott 2018/19 1.83 GAA .931 SV%

Age 18:

Dustin Tokarski 2007/08 1.38 GAA .944 SV%
Chet Pickard 2007/08 1.78 GAA .937 SV%

-Guy is in elite company. Also a prime example of why goalies are voodoo until they hit pro hockey.

If you look at the marlies you can tell they are well coached. Also the experience they are getting by winning the Calder and going deep on another run is astounding. If you look at Johnsson and Moore the year before that experience translated into better all around players who know what it takes to win.look at all the young guys on this team learning what it takes to win and getting it done.

Leafs are lucky to have the skill and youth that we have in the system.

Button on TSN saying he thinks Mason Marchment should be on the leafs next year.

If he can stay healthy this time around, he should definitely be in the conversation. Carcone and Brooks will also get looks.
