My preseason philosophy is I don't give a shit what the vets do as long as they don't get hurt. They could show up and drink on the bench for all I care.

I'm just watching the kids and the guys fighting for roster spots, they're the ones that are supposed to show you something. Other guys are just getting their legs under them. It's a glorified pick up game with loose systems.

Either that or half the team is in another country.

tell that to Arizona

Shut your mouth. Only the game where the Kings are losing counts.

i haven't seen one single person arguing this

LA could go 4-0 right now and if they still play the same heavy game that they did last season, they'll get eventually burnt

do you understand really what i'm trying to say?

Pearson and Toffoli being our 2nd line wingers has nothing to do with what day of the year this is...

Also, we're still getting a ton of penalties, we're still allowing the first goal, we're still sloppy in the first period, we still can't score on the PP, and we're still having poor results against the Pacific

and actually to your point, it's even more alarming that all these newbies have seemingly adopted the same habits as our old core

you would think, that since it's the pre-season, it would have been the perfect time to learn not to take penalties at least, NO? No, let's just wait game 1 and hopefully we figured it out by game 20 at the cost of losing meaningful games

At this point if I had to pick between Stevens, Crawford, and Terry Murray, it would be a hard decision.

Lol I really wish they had went for Trotz this year or Gallant when they had the chance last year . Let’s hope Stevens can adapt or we are in for more boring games again. We have talented players no reason to suck . A coach is just as important as the players

I think you're freaking out over nothing, and I don't care to argue with you about it.

Remember when Brandon Bochenski was the preseason leading scorer every year for like 5 years?

I like the juxtaposition of "Dark horse Calder Candidate" right next to "Retires"

I think someone posted on the main boards few days ago that everyone who did well in preseason ended up not even making playoffs or preseason champions never made playoffs something like that except Boston they did well in preseason and won the cup same year. So relax guys. Just concerned about no shots on goal but hey we winning the other game lol **** it

i think Montreal went 0-7 last year

at the end of the day, if you know your team very well, you can spot things that if it happened to another team, it wouldn't be a big deal, but if it happens to team X then it's another issue

tell me if you are watching the VAN LA game

now tell me this

have you noticed how fast and excited and "into it" the canucks were from the get go? Why do the Kings play like as if it's game 75 of the year? they seem run down, uninterested and tired, like pretty much every single game ive seen for a couple of seasons now

this lack of confidence has nothing to do with the pre-season

Lot has to do with the system and coaches as well. They are just as important as the players . I think that is one of our biggest issues that goes ignored . We have one of the safest systems in the league and it’s boring

The Kings have been completely controlling the flow of play since the start of the 2nd.

Only thing the Canucks have really done is get a bunch of PPs, half of which were garbage calls.

I'm gonna go ahead and call confirmation bias.

Edit: maybe the 'into it' you're talking about is the physicality...well, in transitioning to speed and skill we've become soft as shit and now we're getting pushed around by the Canucks. Can't have it both ways.

Etem wide open...but Thompson doesn't even look at him. What a garbage line and a good way to make Etem look bad, playing with Thompson and Imama...

At Staples.

Worst players are Walker, Phantomberg and Kovy.

Keep shitting on Clifford. Guy has nothing to prove but fights Engelland.

Kovy looks like he's 45
