Been working out all night didn't catch the game. Anything interesting besides losing?
 
I saw that they scored right after doughty tied it up, and i was like that's Quick's signature. Checked to see who's in net. Quick. Can't seem to drop that bad habit.

Pretty sure that wasn’t Quick but might as well get on a roll early. Quick only played the first half of the game, and it was Martinez that tied it.

Oh it said he was active goalie on NHL. Glitch maybe.
 
Martinez scored to tie it the first time.
Doughty scored to tie it the second time.
Brown scored to tie it the third time.

Coyotes just scored again to take the lead....again.

It wasn't Quick; it's just part of the system at this point :laugh:
 
Listened to the game through Iheartradio. Heard Kempe and Iafallo A LOT. Didn't hear Kovy, Brownie or Kopi's name that much.

Take-a-ways: 1. Good to know that our big guns are already scoring. 2. I hate that there are still commercials and station identification pauses.
 
Lol Kings board melt down in full effect. Should have signed Rattie though to a show me contract. Had some ridiculous number in Juniors and the A . The NHL is more suited for his style of play now . Looks legit . Playing amazing . 9 in 14 last year . And this year I think he gets 60+ .

How did Toffoli look for anyone who might have seen it or listened in ? Is he looking faster or are we still screwed ? If Toffoli has Carters speed I think he would be a consistent 40 goal guy. Kid has serious skill and is a pure goal scorer but I think he is one of the slowest players in the league. Mind boggling a little considering he looked fast in his rookie year

I was gonna say i'm not really worried aobu that because it's the preseason and the big guy minutes will be limited to get a better look...then I saw Kovy got nearly 23 minutes :laugh: granted, nearly 7 was power play time that I'm sure they're trying to iron out, but still. The rest of the guys got a good number of minutes all around.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Iafallo fly all season. He was great to start then clearly burned out in heavier usage than ever in his life as well as more games...now that he's got a full season under his belt and an offseason of training, he would CRUSH in a 3rd line role imo.

That was quite the Sam Pollock type of move from Sakic to get rid of a disgruntled UFA to be and potentially land the #1 pick.

Pollock did that when he suckered Oakland to trade their 1st round pick in ‘71. The Habs went on to select Guy Lafleur.

Oh and the Habs can also thank the Kings for the pick that turned out to be Larry Robinson in the same draft, for 39 games out of a 33-year-old Dick Duff. You could form a legendary team with all the draft picks the Kings gave up in the 70s and 80s.
