He looked great in the preseason and then got hurt and never played again. True story, after Frozen Fury my dad and I get on the shuttle at LAX to take us to our parking garage and Kirk Cameron is the only other person on there with us. He starts talking to us and then I mentioned his brother in law playing well for the Kings and he goes off talking about god and gives me a million dollar bill with Jesus on it, it was just so bizarre.

Given his film releases, that Kirk Cameron story doesn’t surprise me in the least bit.

And you’re right, Valeri Bure did look great in the preseason. No clue exactly at what point he got hurt, but as it goes with Dave Taylor’s luck, he had signed a broken down man who was knocking on the door of retirement.

If I remember correctly Bure was an injury risk at the time DT signed him that's why it was a 1 year 1M deal. He was coming off an injury and his injury problems had been mounting for years. Hadn't played a full seasons since 00/01.

It was a low risk signing, I bet @The Tikkanen is pissed about this one.

I just realized that in 2004 we not only took a Japanese goalie but we took a British goalie as well (Danny Taylor). He's Canadian but was born in England I totally forgot about that. That whole draft was complete trash.
