The 50th ranked prospect at #18.....niiiice. I don't claim to know anything about this pick but if he is ranked 50th would he have not been available in the second round? Why not take a flier on a higher touted prospect? Oh well

#11 Hockeyprospect
#13 Mckeen's
#22 McKenzie

According to the aggregate draft ranking (compiled from 12 lists around the internet and guides).. Urho was ranked 22nd and the best D left on the board. It's underwhelming, but it's not a reach at all. No one projected him to the B's that all and the Red Line report had him ranked by far the lowest of any ranks I've seen. He was in 9/12 top 30s.

This pick was the equivalent of opening a great looking Christmas present to see a pair of slacks

Sounds like Urho was all over the maps in rankings obviously some had him as low as 2nd round, which means some must have had him quite high as well.

Excited to see how he turns out.

Mckeen's had Vaakanainen at #13 and the 3rd highest ranked defenseman (after Heiskanen and Makar).

I don't know if it's possible to go off the board too much at #18.

No he was a late first rounder. I doubt he would have lasted too much longer

Planned pick between 22-24 spot.
A bit of a reach for Sweeney.
Big defensive defenseman.
Some skating issues.
No offense to this guys game
41 games = 6 points

Don't know, wasn't expecting to see anyone we picked for almost half a decade...wasn't planning on checking off current needs by taking a 18 year old at 18 tonight.

50th on redline. Low 20s in some other pubs. Remember how lots of people were saying the mid first to mid 2nd in this draft was pretty even? Well, here you go.

That being said, I'm REALLY bummed we didn't see any trade action today. Hopefully, a move is still forthcoming with some of the current prospects.
