this draft has not inspired confidence for this organization even if I like our 2 picks.

Seems contradictory. For a team that never picks in the 1st round we ended up with two centers who are likely not that far off from contributing to the team. I'm happy with that.

No. When you're in the 4-7 round range, trading down is always better. More picks in that area > less picks since it's all a crapshoot.

The Rangers need to send Gordie Clark on vacation during the first day of the draft. I appreciate what he's done later in drafts but for 2nd time in 7 years he's orchestrated an unnecessary reach with a top 10 pick
