A Bruins win combined with a Leafs loss tonight would pole vault us back in the top 3. An Ottawa loss on top of that would keep us within reach of the second spot and with the tie breaker in hand.

I don't expect the Bruns to win every game they have left that's for sure. But than don't expect the teams there fighting with to win every game either. We will be scoreboard watching every night .

Bruins would need to beat Nashville, Dallas, Florida and Tampa to get in the playoffs.
I can't see them beating Hawks, Sens or Caps.

Tampa should beat Redwings, Stars, Sabres easily and should take some points out of Habs/ Leafs.

Not looking good.

Hawks have been bad recently, a 7-0 loss and a choke of a 4-1 lead in the last two games. They also have a huge lead in the conference so they might well not have anything to play for at that point. Sens might well be locked into the 2nd divisional spot already and be resting players in that game. Caps may well have clinched the President's Trophy and be resting players as well.

Tampa don't look like they're kidding around.

I don't like it.

Chicago are good for nothing.

Even a OTL by TB would have been good for the Bruins.

Too bad Chicago is in one big slump losing 7-0 and then not being able to hold a 4-1 lead...

Big games tonight:

Nsh vs Bos
Det vs Car
Flo vs Tor

I think the door got opened for Tampa and they'll take it.

Still think our fight comes down to the Leafs.

I actually agree with this.

I think the Bruins end up with the third spot in the Atlantic, with Tampa getting WC2. Toronto's schedule to end the season is tough, and with the uncertainty around the injury to Andersen, I don't see how they stay ahead of both. He's saying he can play tonight, but he had a similar injury at the end of last season and missed 2+ weeks.

He is definitely not playing tonight. The injury is to his jaw which can cause concussion symptoms so I would guess he would miss a week at least if they follow protocol.

I know McElhinney is starting tonight, but by all accounts he's (Andersen) is saying he feels fine, no symptoms, etc. I'd be curious to see how quickly they put him back in there.

Didn't realize the Canes were right in it. And they're playing Detroit who is playing their 3rd game in 3 nights...

They've been hanging right there behind the teams getting all the press for a little while now. Would be crazy if they somehow sneak in.

They've now almost caught up to the Leafs shot-wise. If the next two shots are goals they'll be tied in both SOG and goals.

Nothing seems to be going our way (other than us)

No problem... It will. The Leafs play Washington, TB, CBJ, and PIT their last 4 games... They won't win all of those. They're very young and inexperienced. Pressure is going to be off the charts. We play TB and WSH as well, but Washington may be resting their players.

We put more pressure on TB and NYI tonight, and we're picking up momentum. A leafs loss would have been massive, but one thing at a time.
