Was this updated? The odds can't possibly be this high.

Between BOS and NYC
The "rooting for losses" gained enough steam in Yankee land leading up to the baseball trade deadline that a beat writer wrote an article titled "Why does every win feels like a loss?"

The ONLY reason we still have a pulse is there is no clear cut leader for Wild Card 2 yet. Currently Carolina has it but the Islanders are making a charge.

It's less sad than making the playoffs and getting your ass kicked 4 times by Pittsburgh.
Especially if you give up high picks for washed up veterans at the deadline once again.

What a depressing year. There's just enough to cling to to think we have a chance, but it's inevitably going to crash and burn with another mid-range finish and out of the playoffs.

If the Bruins somehow wind up at WC2 they would play the Metro Division winner which is a 3 team dogfight. The incentive to win the Metro is huge because then the #2 and #3 teams meet in the first round which means a very good team gets knocked out early.

The Bruins would have no chance against the Caps or Pens but might have a shot at knocking off Columbus.

But unless they can start winning a bunch of games in a row that is a moot point.

This is all moot anyway because if they did squeak in they would go no where in the playoffs.

eh- you never know in hockey.
they could get hot.

if they make #3 in our division, I wouldn't mind our chances against OTT or Tor
and if they get the wildcard- I wouldn't mind it against Columbus

I think they just got the decimal point wrong. Should read 2.64%. Fixed.

Points like these do not add to my confidence in this team at all. In fact, it makes it worse.

You never do know with hockey. BUT if you are running a sports team with a lot of money involved. I'm not investing a lot into improving THIS team in the short term without the long term in mind.

Bruins are in a tough spot. And just not that good. Hopefully management can stop pretending they are.

Serious question.

Do people want to see this team in the playoffs?

Sure I'd like to see them in there. But there's no way I'm spending money on this team.

Much rather see them move towards the future, rather than trying to scrap in with this (un)loveable bunch of misfits.

I like a lot of players as a team, but as a whole, they just aren't cohesive, nor a group that are on the upswing.
