Team USA gathered its players and staff in July to get a head start on team-building and stressed the importance of coming together quickly.

"With USA Hockey, a lot of us have played together at some point growing up," Oshie said. "I think there's already a team feeling with us just because of how much we have played together and the downs we went through in Sochi and the ups. We got together once this summer and had a little bonding thing, so we're excited. I'm excited to see the chemistry."

More saying usa hasn't been shown to care for most previous international hockey championships. They take the whc as a bigger joke than canada does so their questionable choices for this tournament can be more understandable

You mean American players? Yeah, most American players could care less about the Worlds. The "questionable" choices for those tournaments are out of necessity not preference. The World Cup is a different story. USA Hockey had it's pick of the litter. They could and did build the team they want. Are there some questionable picks? Sure, but that's the direction they went in.
