Fredrik Pettersson Wentzel, Magnus Nygren, Erik Gustafsson, Jonas Junland, André Petersson, Daniel Viksten left of off roster. Nygren and Gustafsson have apperntly only been given a leave for the games against Germany. I guess this means that PW, Junland, Petersson and Viksten have been cut. Junland feels like a weird cut considering the other defensemen that are left.

Yep, I'm more worried about that defense tough. OEL would be such an awesome addition. I'm guessing Johan Fransson, Erik Gustafsson and Magnus Nygren more less have their WC ticket booked. The fact that Gustafsson and Nygren were given a rest implies that MÃ¥rts thinks he seen enough of them to be sure of their roster spots. Doesn't seem like a whole lot of more top Euro defensemen that might become available.

Ya for sure plus he needs the experience he will benefit more from it than pretty much any other player. I have a hard time seeing him not getting invited though. I mean this is the world champs he is a top 6 player by pretty much every metric there's really no way to justify not selecting him but than again Mårts decided to snub Hörnqvist last year so..

Lundgren? No way. I'd really rather not see Martinsson there either too mistake-prone and this us coming from a Växjö fan. If any Växjö player makes it it is either Rosén (robert) or Gynge. Well probably not Rosén since we already have two NHL centers, otherwise he'd probably make it since he is most likely the best center option Sweden has in europe. Martinsson will be great in a year or two, he's like Junland but good at hockey.
