This is where Kemenevs melt down really hurts Russia, off the top of my head Finland has many more 4man units they can send out.

Would have only been able to play the last 2 min without the freakout though.

The hockey fan in me is thrilled Russia tied it but how in the world did Kamenev (I think?) not get an unsportsmanlike for the stick smashing? The Finns should have been on the powerplay to end this game IMO.

10 minutes is the exact right call. 20 minutes, that's the first I've ever seen.

Game misconduct always comes with a 5 minute power-play I think. Garbage reffing both ways, in any case.

Not always, just usually. I don't have IIHF rules memorized, but in USA Hockey you can give a straight game misconduct to a player without their team going down a man. I actually had to call one last week because a peewee player gave me the middle finger.

Since my stream is around 20sec behind the livescore app, I think I'm going to mute it and when a goal is scored first check the live app which one scored it (and then turn to the stream if it's Finland). Just can't bear to watch the OT.

This is the best reffing I've seen in all of the Finnish games so far. Before now, we've been having a short leash. Now it's more balanced. And that's the way the cookie crumbles.

No matter that goal hurt.. this game doesn't get any better than this. My god.
