Agree.

How about the second period?

Pac - DD - Byron
Shaw - Plekanec - Gallagher
Carr - Galchenyuk - Flynn
Danault - Mitchell - Lekhonen

Weber - Markov
Emelin - Petry
Sergachev - Beaulieu

Therrien also forgot his players positions

Shaw looks like the guy from Princess Bride....

latest

Mandy Patinkin. Guy who plays Saul in Homeland. Was shocked when I realized this.

Damn it feels good to see Rad and Lehkonen on the second and not Byron, Weise, Andrighetto lol.

When was the last time we had a legit complete top 6? Feels like forever.

You guys already consider Lehkonen legit top 6 player? Not taking anything away from him - he's been great in preseason - but he has no NHL experience and his pedigree isn't great. Very good numbers in Finland but that is all ...

Don't be surprised if Andrighetto is ready for the top six one day.

There is nobody preferable at 2LW aside from perhaps Shaw/Carr.

Better to have those two help DD in terms of physicality.

Provided everyone is healthy, I'd go with this:

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Galchenyuk - Radulov
Carr - Desharnais - Shaw
Byron - Danault - Mitchell
(Andrighetto, Flynn)

Beaulieu - Weber
Emelin - Petry
Markov - Pateryn
(Redmond)

Price
Montoya

Hopefully the rumours of Condon to San Jose are true, McCarron back to the AHL until we make room, Sergachev back to Windsor.

Probably,

Pac-Galch-Gally
Lehkonen-Plek-Radulov
Carr-DD-Shaw
Danault-Mitchell-McCarron

Beaulieu-Weber
Markov-Petry
Sergachev-Emelin

Price
Montoya

Love this lineup! Best forward group the Habs had in years! Well balanced and if they can get past the scoring problems and avoid long term injuries, they will be a very dangerous team to play against!

Top 5 team in the East! Was, TB, Pit, Mtl, Fla

Looking forward to the season!

He is the best candidate.

Actually he was playing pro in Sweden, against men, and had a DOMINANT playoff!

DD on the third line is fine as long as he stays there.

I had a feeling in the summer that we would see Shaw dd and carr together. I think style wise they match up well.

I don't want him anywhere near patches this year though. There should be no reason for it.

I think Sergachev will quickly show that the Habs are a better team with him on the roster. No disrespect to Pateryn and Redmond but the drop off from 6 to 8 is significant.

Wishful thinking. With MT at the helm you know it's a matter of time before we are stuck watching DD taking every offensive zone face off and playing on the 1st PP unit.

It's really frustrating watching DD get first PP wave when he had 1 poiunts in 30+ games last year on the PP. Therrien really is an idiot.

- McCarron to AHL (DDs mid season replacement)
- Sergachev to OHL (plays in NHL for few games while Petry recovers)
- Condon waived to AHL. Hes scapegoat for last season, they cant risk him doing well in NHL as backup.

Exactly what I said. :P

And since Petry is injured to start the season:

Beaulieu - Weber
Markov - Sergachev
Emelin - Pateryn
(Redmond)

... some may swap Pateryn and Sergachev but I feel better about this.

That's pretty much mine as well though I think Redmond gets the start over Pateryn. He brings more mobility and offensive skills to the pairing than Pateryn who's similar in style the Emelin

Nothing big, just a fun picture published on The Gazette on Stu Cowan's article yesterday. Looks like a fun environment at practice.
