Odd the Leafs didn't use the back up vs the Sabres.

Sabres game was probably the better odds to win, so they probably went all in for that game, while the Caps game they care less about. (from a pure points perspective) Guaranteed 2 pts vs Sabres, vs. lesser odds vs the Caps.

Haha, fair enough. I just think the cup is sweeter when you go through your bitterest rivals, so I want the Bruins to make the playoffs and win in the first round so the Habs can beat them in the second.

This Cassidy led team beat the balls off the Habs last outing, forcing your coaching change. Cassidy also knows Claude's system inside and out. Be careful what you wish for. I know of all the top teams, the Habs scare me the least. :naughty:

That high pitch squeak you hear is Leafs fans sphincters tightening. 3-0 Caps. 2-0 OTT.

Bruins control there own destiny over Ottawa

Just need Toronto to lose 1 more point in the next 3

And the Bruins are 2 wins away from HOME ICE in Round 1

Glad to see the Leafs shown that they are not invincible. The Caps aren't Buffalo.

Ah, that makes sense. Only way Ottawa controls destiny is if they pick up a point against Boston and win the other three if Boston also goes 3-0 because Boston already has the tiebreaker.

Maybe you should go back to your own board and stay away. Starting a thread about Marchand on the main board but constantly coming here and being a "Leafs fan in peace".

I hope the Leafs crash and burn, not likely but it would be incredible if they did. The fans are escalating to Habs level already.

The odds aren't great but I would love nothing more than the Leafs to just ****ing miss out after the way their fans have behaved.

haha, honestly, I don`t read the main boards so I don`t get annoyed by Leaf fans and whenever I used to hit MLG or now the ACC, I`ve found the Leaf fans around me to be nothing short of great to watch a game next to.

They have a team that`s a blast to watch and will be for years. I`m one who thinks the 3 teams to watch for over the next 5 years due to exciting prospect pool and current young players already in the NHL are the B`s, Sabres and Leafs

Only saw the highlights of the Caps games and am listening to a station out of Toronto right now, and the theme is pretty clear, the Caps rolled into town and showed the Leafs what a true contender looks like, now, Leafs on a back to back night but ...

That'd be a dream come true

It would be just as fun for me to watch the caps outclass them another 4 games straight and turn the leafs to dust

Leafs got some tough games ahead of them maybe we can move up but I think you might see them resting Big Z some.

I`m not sure that`s wise, I still think there`s work to be done and I don`t expect this teams attitude of just making it in as an 8th seed is what they want.

This team would be wise to bust arse in the last 2 games, maybe get a bit of help from the Sens/Leafs in their last few games (understanding our boys could help themselves beating the Sens last night)

I`d take him off the PP but really, other than shorter shifts, that`s really all I`d do. B`s play their final game Saturday then I "think" I read they`ll likely begin the playoffs (still can`t believe I`m saying that) on Thursday, that`s plenty of time to rest up
