I wouldn't mind but I really don't think that would happen

Three years I can see it

Bruins are a power and Edmonton is a mess salary cap wise because of Chiarelli mismanagement

Totally see this happening

Nah. We'll be too tied up paying Senyshyn $5m a year after his 30-goal breakout season ;)

Incredibly dirty cross check from Niskanen, holy smokes. I know they're desperate but come on. Crosby is done by the looks of things.

I don't think it was an intentional hit to the head at all. Shouldn't have been a match penalty. Crosby was falling. In real time there is no chance that was a cheap shot, just unfortunate.

That was my thought at first too, but the slo-mo replay looked very suspect. I wouldn't mind seeing the real-time replay again, but I still think it was intentional. These guys see the game at lightning speed.

Agreed, Crosby was falling into the guy. Sure, he took the opportunity to take an extra shot at Crosby but it's not like he went looking for him, he just took advantage of the situation. In light of all Crosby has gotten away with (NUT SHOT,VERY INTENTIONAL AND THE SLASH THAT BROKE METHOT'S FINGER, I say take your shots like you give them and ****. Just crocodile tears for you Cindy.

I'm sure the powers that be will have a different take on it now that the "GOLDEN BOY " has been injured. I bet dollars to donuts that a he'll be suspended.

The replay looks awful I agree. But in real time I feel like he was simply reacting as Crosby was going down and actually could have done more damage but didn't. I guess only one person knows whether or not it was intentional.

This angle is the most indicative I'd say. An argument could be made that he was bracing himself for impact, but I dunno. The way his right hand grabs his stick at the opportune moment is a little too convenient for me.

Defenseman do that all the time. It's unfortunate it resulted in injury, but that is far from uncommon. Hockey, especially playoff hockey can be nasty.

Definitely don't think it was intentional. Honestly think it should've just been 2 minutes, not 5 min major. As stated above, Crosby was in an awkward position and nisk didn't really have much but a reaction to him.

Ovechkin thoigh, that slap of his stick to the arm/face.....

Agree with you about the way it looks in real time versus slow motion. Also, in real time the slash across Crosby's back by Ove looked far worse than the hit by Niskanen.

It was clearly accidental, but the 5 minute major is warranted because it's still a hit to the head. I don't think further discipline is needed. Crosby was falling awkwardly and the dman got his hands/stick up in a typical self defense move dmen have to guys who are about to barrel into them. It's just a tough break for Crosby...usually the dman catches the other guy's shoulder or side of the body.
