I've always wondered how fans determine that certain players lack mental fortitude. To say that Malkin and Kessel lack it is something pulled out of the ether.

Malkin is at worst, the third best player in these playoffs and has done it before.

Kessel was arguably the best player in last year's playoffs.

Could you please tell me how you reached your conclusion, because I think it's pure nonsense.

Little thing called body language. Kessel, and Malkin getting chippy as frustration builds leads one to believe that losing affects them in a negative way. What do previous accomplishments have to do with mental fortitude? Mental fortitude isn't tested when you're riding a high.
