In terms of height Czech men are one of the taller nations. Skating is a skill that needs to have a greater emphasis imo. You have the ability to reach Finland's level with the right steps taken. It's just I don't know how popular the sport is in Czech Republic.

Our best players are usually smaller though. Skating has been problem for Czech Republic for quite some time. Ice hockey is sport number one here. At least I hope so.

Is there a lack of focus on skating ? I can't see why this wouldn't be stressed at a young age.
