Another year of Canadian politics trying to dictate another roster.
How do you figure?
Who was the obvious omission from the Flyers?Because his favorite prospect isnt playing enough for his liking of course.

Hicketts is untouchable because his junior coach is the head coach.
Quennville goes to the top line because his junior coach is an assistant coach.
Both make big mistakes but don't sit. Other players make mistakes and get benched.
That's the politics he's talking about.

Actually, i can agree with this !! BTW, i feel like this coach is over his head. No apparent structure, with players left free-wheeling left and right![]()
How was Fleury a 1st round pick?
What a bunch of ********. Just because Sanheim isn't good enough right now to get ice-time doesn't mean it's politics. He almost gave away a goal to the U.S this game with a horrid turnover, he's clearly behind his peers skating wise and that is huge on the big ice. EV strength he will get skated around, Fleury, Hickey, Hicketts, Dermott, Chabot are all playing better.Another year of Canadian politics trying to dictate another roster.

Seriously though this is the first year there were no glaring omissions from the team in recent memory
If anything, we got beat by the team that played politics in its selections

Everyone is jumping on the coach for what reason? The team played fine except for the fact McDonald missed 3 shots he should have had IMO. The cuts the coach has made were fine, most people on here can't form their own opinion so it's pretty easy to blame the coach once a couple people think it might be the coach.

I do watch some Calgary games. And guess what, it doesn't matter because hockey is so different from a WHL game and a world junior game on big ice. Skating will get exposed, the competition picks up, that doesn't mean Sanheim won't make the team but he's not a great skater on big ice. That's why others get more ice-time then him, they are just as good defensively, can move the puck-up and they are more mobile.Might wanna watch some Calgary games. He made ONE turnover which you're drawing all conclusions from. And no he didn't play worse than any of those guys considering they got more ice time and played like dog ****. The coaching has been mediocre at best.
