So Boston trades Kessel, gets picks and drafts two studs in Sequin and Hamilton...
... and then trades them for pennies on the dollar.

Total steal for the Flames. What is Boston thinking
How does anyone think that's a horrible trade for Boston? They were handcuffed and did what they could. An offer sheet, which would have happened, would have left them with a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd next year. Instead they get upgraded picks in this draft. Great job of doing all they could.
I'm guessing the #2 or #3 pick.

Hopefully Rask is next, he deserves better.

But even if they get Hanifin, they had long term control over a proven young stud. This just makes no sense.
BOS gives up:
Seguin
Hamilton
Kessel
BOS gets:
L.Ericksson
Reilly Smith
#15 pick overall 2015
2 2nd Rd picks 2015
I'd do that easily if we didn't have Lu.rask for 11th + 2x 3rds
Main point being that Hamilton was the only young guy they had, there's no one else on the pipeline. But even if they get Hanifin, they had long term control over a proven young stud. This just makes no sense.
they can't get the 2nd from the sabres, but yeah, hanifin will be a bruin

What do you mean? You trade Loui, Lucic, or Krecji before Hamilton. This is so bad for them
They got hosed.
Im not even sure the Coyotes would trade the 3rd overall for pick 14 and 15. By 14 all the young studs will be gone? Why trade quality for quantity. And even if Boston includes a roster player, which roster would you add that doesn't have a NTC and it willing to waive it for Arizona?
Bruins can thank Chiarelli for this situation. Hamilton wanted too much money, so they had to move him. Moving Soderberg was smart, but losing Hamilton weakens their core. Still, I don't agree with this trade if I'm a Boston fan.
I'd assume that means that Boston wasn't willing to trade with the teams (within the conference, more than likely) that offered those higher picks, or/and wanted to include salary going back to Boston.Nope.
Nope.
