Everyone that will be picked after 1-3 is pretty much a four year project. That's what people should plan on.

Would you say his dangling reminded you of Datsyuk or Brown more?

Big difference :)

In all honesty, I see a bit of Dustin Brown in Timo Meier. Take that as you will.

I dunno if I can agree with that. Provorov is an exceptional player, and has really made a seamless transition to North America. I'm a big fan of his. Matthew Barzal and Jansen Harkins have shown a lot of promise, too. Mitch Marner reminds me a lot of Fabbri, who in turn reminded me last year of a pre-injury Mike Richards.

I think you're underestimating how quickly some of these kids will develop to play.

With a Cup roster, 18/19 year old's straight back to JR hockey(unless they are a sure fire roster player)

That's two years or one, then it's the AHL for at least a season, your at two or three years already right there.

Lombardi/BLake believe in slow cook/ not ruin kids...Three years minimum most likely four. That's not to mention the prospect has to learn to play 200ft, or they won't ever sniff NHL ice with the Kings.

It's hard for these kids to learn 200ft quickly. Also the new prospect has to compete with guys that have (Paid their dues). By that time, Kempe/Zykov/Dowd/Mersch/Gravel/Ebert/Brodzinski ETC will have all paid their dues.

So unless the Kings get lucky (win lottery) or land a Gem. Plan on three to four years.

Everything you read from Lombardi etc says that any player needs at least 18 months in the AHL (That is likely the least amount of time for anybody unless we win the lotto)

I think if we have a 1st round pick this year, we will never see them play as a King (other than a McDavid/Eichel/Hanifin/Strome). Anyone else the Kings pick will most likely be traded (McKeown/Fasching) before they get close.

I don't know. We don't have a 1st round pick this year so I don't think it will matter. Guess we will have to see who we pick next season.

We keep our first round pick if we miss the playoffs. Carolina gets our pick if we do make the playoffs.

Jakub Zboril, Kyle Connor, Travis Konecny

Out of those three Zboril looks pretty good. Defenseman with good size and a puck mover.
