I read somewhere that Viasat will be broadcasting the games versus Sweden and the Czechs. No word on the other two matches though.

I cant seem to find any WJC on Viaplay though, so you might have to have the full VIASAT sattelite package to be able to view the matches.

No streams? Times like these I wish I was in Canada!!!

I wondered about him. Caught he junior A finals and was thinking he looked pretty dark skinned for a Dane.

I think your team is going to pull off an upset. Wouldn't be surprised if you take the Russians in your opener.
Looking pretty good so far.

So after the first game how did the defense look like, as it is the weak point of the Danish team? (as I didn't see the match).
Anyone stand out there.....

Damn, I was planning on taking the trip across the pond to watch the games vs the Czechs and Switzerland, but work brought an end to that dream. Dammit, dammit, dammit......it would have been an epic once in a lifetime experience.

Looks like Denmark is going to stay up in the top division, a huge accomplishment! Looking forwards to next year, how does the team look and do they have a chance of staying up again? Obviously that depends a lot on Ehlers being available but how will the rest of the team look?

With the lack of depth in Denmark, it used to be that we needed a generation of players at their peak in order to have a shot at promotion to the top flight. If we succeeded in gaing promotion, we'd then have to ice a worse team in the top division than we had the year before. This time around it was different in that the team that got promoted last year actually peaked this year. Predictably, next year will be a down year with a lot of key players being too old. And as far as I know, there are no immediate new prospects who can reach the level of Ehlers or Bjorkstrand. If we had any such players in the pipeline, they would probably be on the team at the age of 16 or 17. True is probably the closest thing, and he looks to me to be a long way behind Ehlers and Bjorkstrand in terms of skill.

If we're lucky, Ehlers will be back next year to put the team on his back and Lillie can duplicate some of Sorensen's heroics, but that's a big if. There won't be a lot of returnees next year.
