Can't say I'm excited about the possibility of acquiring Callahan. I have always been kind of a cheerleader for making your move early, so good on Jarmo I guess.

I don't think we trade with the Rangers. It just doesn't seem like a JD/JK kind of move. I hope that any move doesn't mess too much with team chemistry.

In season's past, #CBJ would have been reluctant to mess with club playing so well. The JD/JK Show has no such apprehension.
Also, why don't you see Jarmo trading with the Rangers? He's already done it once in his tenure.
The tweet about Callahan really doesn't mean anything to me. Portzline was just giving his opinion about Callahan. There was no news, in that tweet, that came from a source or anybody, but himself.

With both teams so close and in the same division, I don't think they will pull the trigger with them. Besides, I am guessing we don't want a 7 year Callahan.

I don't see the Callahan trade happening. Not that Jarmo wouldn't do it, but because it doesn't make sense, especially for the type of money he wants. Our resources can be better spent than that, even if the cap is going up.

I was meaning his earlier tweet about an expected trade wasn't specifically referencing Callahan.

I don't see it happening, but I'd be in favor of it. Don't know if you can be on the bandwagon if you're not actively hoping for it. But if so, I'm on.

I'm still on that bandwagon as well. Just assume for a second we end up with Cally and give him a 6 million dollar contract. Then compare the stats he has this season vs. what Stastny has for just 0.6 million more in contract dollars. Even after accounting for the fact that Callahan has played 10 fewer games, Stastny's statistics are markably better. It's a no brainer if those are the two primary targets imo.

Why does it appear that Jenner will be a LW? Richards himself said Jenner was a C a few weeks ago when he put him there for a couple games.
Because of the way he is playing as a LW. I just think, unless we get an elite LW, he is going to be playing with Johansen for a long time.

Not that I don't like the way they're playing together, but I think how a guy plays for a couple games with another guy doesn't mean he's going to be in that position or with the other guy for the rest of his career.
My guess is they're playing him at wing just to get his feet wet in the NHL like they did with Joey (or pretty much any center prospect. It could very well be he could end up on the side, but it's way too early to know, IMO.

I like Kane, but I don't know where he fits. He's like a more physical Rick Nash, with the same flaws and deficiencies. Give him the puck within 20 feet of the net and chances are good it goes in, but he's limited outside of that. He's not a smart offensive player overall, he's not a playmaker, and his defensive game is limited.
And this is from someone who likes Kane. Get him from the middle of the circles on down and between the dots, and he's a handful. Outside of that, he's not going to create offense. If a trade were to be done with Winnipeg, you know who my ideal target would be. Hell, the team gave his number away to a rookie defenseman.
No doubt. I just think those 2 work well together. I am not saying he can't/won't be a C. Just that he has now shown he can be a LW. So, we now have the option to add another C. Before I really only saw the option of adding a LW/RW.
