Looking at the hockey geek stats. Umberger stinks. Hartnell is the better player by a good margin.

This will make Clb harder to play against, although I have to wonder if Hartnell's best days are behind him.

First instinct was 'they wanted a big center', and natrually you gotta overpay... But Philly already got their big center, or even two of them.

Or? Is Lecavalier leaving?

That remains to be seen. At the moment, however, this is a good looking deal for Columbus.

It is. I just have to wonder if the Hartnell we saw during the playoffs will be more of the guy that plays moving forward.

Any where I can go for a list of who has compliance buyouts left and who they might be used on?

Vigneault stressed the importance of a prospect stepping up. One of those guys is Ryan Haggerty, who from the looks of it, has a rip of a right handed shot.

From what i've read, he also chose to sign with the Rangers because they alluded to giving him a very good shot of making the team right off the bat next year.

Could he be a 4th line player, who uses his body to be a forechecker, and is given more minutes to play on the powerplay? Certainly could be.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it only reported that he paid attention to NYR allowing him to step in and practise with the team (he couldn't go to the AHL)?

Is Hags II really better than Kristo?

Fast is ahead of Kristo. Fast was used in a "AO" role on the PP in HFD, sniper at the left circle. I don't think Fast was good enough this year, but hopefully he can have a big summer. Add a lot of weight and explosiveness.

Hockeys Future has Kristo as our top prospect.
