Reminds me slightly of the collision of Haula and Lehtonen in terms of a-step too slow defender causing the offensive player to lose his balance and causing the collision.

Sucks for the Habs but no way was it intentional. :shakehead

It really is depressing that we are out. Chicago is likely going to squeak by the Kings, who are exhausted after coming back from a 3 game deficit and playing in 2 game 7's

Chicago is going to win the cup. The best teams are out - Ducks, Bruins, Blues, and this is the least competitive final four I think there could be. Habs would have been scary but without Price they are dunzo. Rangers are lucky to be where they are though I give them credit...I don't think they are a top 4 team in the NHL. They are lucky Boston choked.

If Chicago gets by the Kings, they should run through the Final in 5 games. I just don't think Chicago is the best team in the League, yet they will probably win. They are going to have to work for it, but it's not as hard as it should be imo.

Rangers v Habs would have been a fantastic series and still might be, but no Price no Cup. If any team besides Chicago wins I'll say they really earned it. I hate Chicago.

The best team in the NHL rarely wins the Stanley Cup. Teams go on lucky streaks, people get injured, bounces go the wrong way etc.

Want the Rangers to win just to see St. Louis get his name on the cup.

Think the Habs will win (yes, without Price).

I'm almost positive St. Louis was on the 2004 Tampa Bay cup winning roster.
I'm rooting for him to win another though. He's been through a lot this year. Was having a fantastic year with Tampa before he forced his way out. (Who knows why. Maybe didn't get along with management) then his mother passing during the playoffs.

That's true; I always forget Tampa won the cup.

It's impossible to not root for St. Louis. Seems like such a great guy.

It's a damn shame that the difference between the Rangers and the Habs is basically coming down to goaltending. Price started giving up soft ones after the injury in game 1, and the series has been out of control ever since. Could've been a great series if we got the goaltending duel between the two best in the league, instead of...this.

Hate to see a preventable injury decide a series.

Do 'great guys' demand a trade and torpedo their current teams good season and also demand that there's only one team they're willing to be traded to? Seems to me he dumped on his teammates for purely selfish reasons.

I guess I'm a Rangers fan for the rest of the playoffs. It'd be pretty cool to see guys like McDonagh, Lundqvist, Hagelin and Stepan lift the Cup. I'm also not very interested in seeing the Kings or Hawks win again so soon, especially the Hawks.

Would be sweet if another Staal got his name on the cup. McD and Stepan represent. Sucks that Pouliot gets on it though :(

And St. Louis lost a lot of respect from me when he started whining about not making the Canadian team on the first goaround. For a man that has kicked and fought to get into this league and has made a great impact, I would have expected better.

It's hard to say when we know neither side of the story. Everything we can speculate is built upon assumptions.

I don't think St. Louis was happy with Tampa's management, so he asked for a trade. Nothing wrong with that. It might have stemmed from the Team Canada fiasco, but that's neither here nor there.

Yeah I've always really liked St. Louis. I really hope that he had a good reason if he did indeed demand to be traded out of Tampa Bay. He's always seemed like a good teammate and player. It would be nice to see him win the cup, although I'm not happy about it maybe being with the Rangers. But ohh well.. Sucks that there isn't hockey tonight.. Really wish they would make the games go on back to back nights.

Patty Kane takes that cake for me. Great player, but listening to him (although he has gotten somewhat better) is like listening to Tom Brady talk.

I gained a little more respect for him after watching this video of him mic'd up for the handshake line last week, but yeah, there's usually something really arrogant and annoying about him.

Brady is a top 10 all time QB arguably. Kane isn't anywhere near his level.

We don't know for sure what happened. If it's true that he demanded to be traded because Yzerman didn't pick him for Team Canada at first, then yes, I think it sounds petty and I would have expected better from him. But at the end of the day, players who demand to be traded like that are usually at odds with the coach, GM, their teammates or a combination of the aforementioned. So does it even really matter what happened? All people are selfish to some extent in their core.

He was the freaking captain of an in-the-playoffs team (2nd in their division at the time, I believe) and demanded a trade mid-season. Obviously there was an issue somewhere, but play out the season and deal with it in the off-season. Don't dump everything YOUR (as captain) team has done and worked for that season.

Oh **** off, Leddy.

Anyone else get a feeling of Deja Vu watching the Kings and Blackhawks thus far?

Yeah I can barely watch this round.

One series is a friggin beatdown, the other one is more ungodly Blackhawk luck.
