As a Canucks fan (who missed signing up for this mock), can I suggest Fleury? He fills a need for a marquee defenseman in our system, and I think his value at 16 is way too good to overlook.

Sadly I will have to let Fleury go to Vancouver.

With that being said, the Tampa Bay Lightning are proud to select Brycen Martin.

Yeah, George, you might as well just award Fleury to Vancouver and let's move on, since people are passing him up on the assumption that he is off the board.

I also suggest that we not waste time with polling the participating GM's as to who the BPA is. It's your draft; if someone doesn't want to keep to the rules you've established, then he or she gets what they get.

Just in case the board sees a flurry of activity today, I want to let you all know that I work afternoons (noon to 8:30 PM), and I live in Phoenix, so I'll be home and ready to make my pick by 9:00 PM Mountain (11:00 PM Eastern) today. Please don't skip me if my time should expire before then. Thanks.

I'm ready to pick for Pens as soon as Aela makes the Coyotes' selection...

Nikolay Goldobin - RW - Sarnia Sting

The most offensively talented player in the draft goes to the team with the most need for Offense. Ovechkin 2.0, Goldobin is a highly talented player who can easily make defenders look foolish. While some may criticize him as small, Goldobin sure doesn't play like it. He has a nose for the net and is always picking up someone's rebound next to guys who are 5 inches taller than him. Has also shown a small inclination to bang the body and is feisty.

Beyond happy to get this guy at 22 for PHX, because I truly believe he's at least a top 10 talent in the draft.

With the 23rd overall pick, the Pittsburgh Penguins select:

Josh Ho-Sang, right wing, Windsor Spitfires (OHL)
5'11'', 159 lbs, right-handed
from Thornhill, Ontario

Going with the high chance, high reward pick, because I think the Penguins can afford it at the moment. Could be a huge asset in future if he becomes an elite winger, because Pittsburgh doesn't have too many of those. Without a doubt one of the most skilled players in this draft.

Tyler Parchem (EliteProspects) said:
Ho-Sang often turns heads with his ability to handle the puck with ease in the offensive zone. He has speed and great offensive instincts but needs to work on his game outside of the offensive zone. He has the ability to explode offensively this season and has the potential to be a top ten pick in next years draft.

Dennis MacInnis (ISS) said:
Ho-Sang has elite puck skills, exceptional playmaking ability and one-on-one skills and is an explosive, quick, fast player. He is, however, a high-risk, high-reward player at times.

STATS IN MAJOR JUNIOR:

2012-13 Windsor Spitfires (OHL) 63, 14+30=44, 22 PIM, -23
2013-14 Windsor Spitfires (OHL) 25, 12+15=27, 18 PIM, +8

LA Kings are now on the clock.
