Would love to get back into the first round and grab Scherbak. Would almost be identical to Schwartz(small, smart, handsy North American), following by Scherbak(Big, Russian, goal scoring winger). Would be absolutely thrilled. Would make up for not having a first next year a little bit.

I think he's a great playmaker, just not what people typically refer to one as. He's a great pivot player. He doesn't set others up as well as he sets himself up on the give and go.

Yes, but Barbashev and Scherbak appear to have the same type of skill with less attitude problems, as well as a great physical game. They're Russian, but far from the stereotype.

Ho-Sang will definitely be falling a decent amount IMO. He's going to be a steal in the mid-2nd.

Mostly defensive ability. Barbashev is pretty decent and Scherbak has some major work to do. I think Barbashev would fit our system better. Plus he is more filled out where Scherbak has some work on his size. Finally, he is pretty much consensus higher on the "experts" boards I have seen although TSN disagrees. Mostly the defense though.

Some people think Ho Sang will be there at 52. He'll almost certainly be available at 33 if we want him.
