Looking at the roster on the CBJ website, Horton is NOT listed as being on the IR. Huh?

EDIT: Found out that he's on the "non-roster injured reserve list"

Hey CBJ Fans, Leafs fan wondering did Jerry D'amigo not play that well during camp or were you guys just that deep in forwards?

I watched him grow since we drafted him so I kind of have a interest in him becoming an NHLer and wanted to know if he just didn't bring it.

to me, he was quite disappointing...him and Gibbons both I was expecting more from...they just never got into rhythm

Thanks all. Shame really I mean as a junior at the WJC he had a dominant appearance then with the Marlies he kind of wavered with the point production so we started to focus on him becoming a competent bottom 6'er and a lot of us had him pegged for a bottom 6 role this year.

Oh well best of luck with the season.

CBJ basically told Gibbons and D'Amigo that the roster spots were theirs to lose... And then they lost them.

Hey guys,

I'm curious where the Jackets are planning on playing Jenner when he gets healthy. I've looked at the other threads on your forum and thought this would be the best place to ask. If I'm in the wrong thread I apologize. I took Jenner with one of my later picks in a fantasy league because he was listed as RW and I was thin on RW, and knew he would be a good guy to grab and then sit on. Just curious what kind of season you guys are expecting him to have role-wise and stat-wise. Thanks again.

Top 6 wing, possibly seeing some time at center. IMO he hits 50pts this season.

From here on out the expectation should be to win the Cup. Every year.

Then I would like to make some bets with you!

The Jackets have a decent shot at it, and that's saying something. But no team has more than a 25% chance of winning the cup, and there's about 5-10 teams I'd put ahead of us.

So let's call it a "goal".

Top-six scoring wing, will probably still hit close to 20 goals despite the injury.

Never said it was actually going to happen. But I just think we should start expecting the best of ourselves. I want this team to have a winner's mentality. Anyone who expects anything less can hit the road. Bumps will happen, it's the nature of the game. But we should expect the best.

Does anyone have a guess as to what Coach Richards is thinking with putting Skille on the left side in the top 9? In addition to it being a bit high in the lineup, and on the wrong side for Skille (I think), its also our busier side. Who goes to the right?

RW: Atkinson, Dano, Wennberg, Letestu, Boll
LW: Hartnell, Foligno, Calvert, Tropp
C: Johansen, Dubinsky, Anisimov, Chaput

I think we will see Skille slide around a little bit. But I also think Richards wants to get all 5 of those RW in the game. I know how the majority of this board feels about Boll, but he keeps ending up in the lineup wearing an 'A'. My guess would be that he ends up above Tropp on the depth chart, and with the roster we have now, I full expect Tropp to be one of the healthy scratches opening night. Letestu can move around, but when we saw him at wing last year, it was on the right.

I'm not sure with the Johansen signing that putting Skille into the top 9 is still in the cards, but it could still be an option. I'm very excited, but really I have no clue what the lineup is about to look like.

Yeah Richards mentioned he liked getting skille back and that he was a capable player. I think he's definitely going to get his opportunity to get some top minutes with Horton and Jenner gone. But on the same note JK already came out and said none of the rookies they believe are top 6 guys will be playing 4th line dutie. That they much rather them get 20minutes a night in all situations. So I think the rookies will get a few games and I think 1 of Dano, Wennberg and Rychel makes it. Chaput I believe will stick as well, but he's a guy who will get stuck in the 4th line spot(not that his potential isn't higher)because of depth and needing Letestu higher in the lineup

I see either Dano or Wennberg alternating time "in the press box eating popcorn" while the other plays. Best player stays when Jenner comes back (assuming there aren't more injuries)

#CBJ C Brandon Dubinsky not practicing today. He’s “nicked up” according to coach Todd Richards

The idea of sitting either Dano or Wennberg to create time for Skille seems, to say the least, somewhat odd.

Boy with all of this unsettled stuff and injuries going on, it is nice to have a reliable guy like Letestu who you can just plug in anywhere and know he can get the job done. Will be interesting in the off-season as to whether Jarmo "DMac's" Letestu.

#CBJ coach Todd Richards says Brandon Dubinsky is out vs. #Sabres on Thursday. He's day to day w lower body.

#CBJ D Ryan Murray will not play vs. #Sabres. That's less of a surprise.
