Way to not get the point. Some people on this board appear to just be looking for reasons to complain.

Well then, way to take what I said out of context.

Here was the context:
Samkow: The signings are coming fast and furious but short of Pittsburgh, I don't think anyone in our division has gotten better.
And my response to it:
Including us.
Clearly, we were talking about today's signings.

The reason I don't look at it like we're going to add Horton, is because people get injured every year. We can't get excited for an injury free team because it probably won't happen.

And Iggy for $5m or so per to a team that I think has less of a chance to win the cup than we do (how do the Avs get out of the Western Conference?). Should we assume Jarmo just didn't want him?

I share your angst. I guess if they can't bump Tropp and Boll off of the lineup, they don't deserve to be here yet.

That's my problem though. If anyone should be bumped, it's those two and not Mackenzie.

Mackenzie and Letestu should have been safe on our 4th line. Tropp is a dime a dozen player who was waived by the worst team in the league and Boll is no more than a 5 minute per night pugilist.

If one of the three is actually ready then our bottom line should look like:
Mackenzie - Letestu - Hjalmarsson/Wennberg/Rychel
Boll

Springfield:
Tropp

That would be a reasonable assumption or Iggy didn't want us.

I think the Avs could make it out of the West if things broke right for them. They are young and presumable getting better. Adding Iggy helps at least for the next two years, imo. Varmalov gets hot. Not an easy task but it could be done. Better chance than us? Probably not but ours at the moment isn't that great either, imo.

Plus I can't believe those dummies Joe Sakic & Patrick Roy would want an old guy on their youth laden team.

Considering the best player of the pack is in the "In" column, can't say I'm disappointed. Sure, it sucks losing MacKenzie, but you know, we can't match a 3 year deal for a 33 year old. I'm good

Compared to all lthose idiots around the league who are signing useless players like Stastny,Iggy,Vanek, etc. for big bucks, I am duly impressed.

Personally I think we are in a battle for a playoff spot again. No slam dunk. Although the Rangers have taken a bit of a hit this off-season,imo.
