I'd bring back Tropp. Pretty good 13th forward and fit well on the 4th line last year.

I know some people like Boll, but it would be nice if we bought him out or traded him. That would make a Tropp re-sign far more tolerable.

I think Vrbata is that guy...RW can play up and down the lineup...could be a cheap pickup...and maybe look at a Clayton Stoner for defensive depth and call it a FA period :dunno:

ugh...Vrabata has been absolutely awful everywhere but Phoenix and he's on the decline and is 33 years old.

And Clayton Stoner is simply not a good hockey player

Count me firmly in the team Xogzz camp. Hope the biggest forward moves we make this summer are the Johansen contract and extensions for Dubinsky and Foligno.

Signing Iginla would be the best thing that ever happened to this club. I don't see it happening since we're not yet a Cup contender.

If I can stop talking about trading Tyutin, you guys can all stop talking about signing Iginla.

He'd never do it, he'd be a terrible fit, it makes no sense from any angle...Jarmo just jettisoned a 36 year old veteran last year, he's not going to add one this year. :help:

Um, isn't that what I just said.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Either way, the point is most likely moot.

Along these lines of EspenK's thought...does anyone think we will add another impact forward: Interested in hearing other CBJ fans thoughts on the following:

Callahan
ROR
Statsny
Kesler (I know this is the: now Umby's gone so maybe he waives BS - highly unlikely but there is some buzz)
L. Erikson
Eberle

I'm sure there are others just names off the top of my head

I'd put all of them in the "way too damn expensive" category. :)

Anyone up for taking a chance on Chris Stewart if we can get him on the cheap? He is overpaid, but has only one year left. It would be a make-or-break year for him.

Given yesterday's trade, my interest is gone and I have to imagine Jarmo's is as well.

Porty says he thinks Cammaleri would be a good fit here, but he is doubtful that we are interested.

After the surprising nature of yesterday's trade, I think we can assume that whatever people are thinking on this board, it is not what Jarmo is thinking.

Seconded and I've slung my fair share of crap around here.

But, Kypreos tweeted that Patrick Sharp is on the trade block, still think he'd be great here.

He's too expensive, doesn't fit, we just added Scott Hartnell, he isn't gritty enough, he only scores that much because of Toews and Kane,he's signed for too long (not long enough), he's too old. :sarcasm:

How many of you would have supported a rumored trade of Umbie for Hartnell? Just curious.
