I looked at it at least five times and I just don't get it. I think Koharski's only argument is that O'Neill knew the player was there and turned and the player got a big piece of his shoulder but it finished with a drive in the numbers from the most dangerous area of the ice into the boards headfirst so I have no clue how he can shrug that off. What a dick. Horrible break to lose Berube, but at least that wasn't on an illegal play that could have changed the whole game. Now they lose Berube, O'Neill, AND the game, and will have to rally.
 
I expect/hope a suspension is handed later today. My guess would be 1 game. Maybe 2. Crescenzi was suspended 1 game for a similar style hit in the first round.
 
as bad as Terry Koharski is, his brother was much worse. Jamie Kaharski would put me in rage mode more often than not.
Hopefully we hear something later today on a suspension for the hit on O'Neill.
I have faith in Bartosak. Just have to find a way to get more pucks back Markstrom.
Have to get Weal and Mersch going. I get that O'Neill is a big part of that line but we are going to need those 2 to get going. Don't care how it happens. Please earn a split of the next 2 at least.

What a shame to lose both players. Now it is time for others to step up and show the Kings' brass what they are made of. They can't feel sorry for themselves.
 
Much worse than the Toffoli hit and Nuck fans thought Toffoli should of been banned from the league permanently.

They probably think this was perfectly fine though. Insane that it wasn't a penalty on the ice even. I guess being league MVP doesn't mean **** in the AHL.

Funny story relating to you and your hate for Terry Koharski.

I used to work at a hotel in Springfield, MA. The visiting teams and often the referees would stay at the hotel when they were playing the Falcons. One of those refs was Koharski. We would often talk hockey. He would even often hook me up with free tickets to Monarchs games. (I swear I didn't know how bad he was then :laugh:) Anyways, one day we were talking about how well the Kings were developing their players. Terry started raving about one particular Monarch player and how good he was gonna be. That player was...... Andrei Loktionov.



I guess sometimes we even share our views with our "enemies" ;)

I wont hold my breath. but it is morale support for the team to show he is willing to do anything he can to get back. I cant see him starting honestly. But he probably a better backup option at less than 100 percent than Lerg.
 
Intense game so far. Multiple scrums after the whistle. Monarchs swarming the bet. Markstrom standing tall. It's crazy.

Love that O'Neill is back. What a warrior. Ebert in for Raine.
