At this point, I don't think there are many players in the entire league that I would trade Nylander for. He has "special" qualities. If he can become more responsible defensively, look out.

Yeah, nice rush and a good cross ice pass on the powerplay before that. Seems to have good confidence for his first game.

oh right, he did forgot to mention that. He seems like the kind of player that is confident in his abilities and i think he has to be like that to make skill plays.

I think he has been pretty good defensively besides that play where he didnt get it out right away in the defensive zone.

Seems like every guy with any offensive ability is doomed these days if he doesn't have NHL selke level defense at 18.

Oh no, not another one....:sarcasm:

I guess this applies when he has the puck as well. If you don't go into the dirty areas in the NHL, it's difficult to score goals.. Unless your Phil Kessel, but then you just become a complete defensive liability. As we have already started to see, once the Leafs move away from that run and gun style, Kessels point totals seem to have gone down.. Although, the entire team hasn't scored I suppose.

Just saying, Nylander will not be able to do end to end rushes in the NHL consistently. Going to need to be willing to get into the blue paint to score goals. Not being a complete liability in his own end would also be nice. Right now in the NHL seems to me that he would be below average defensively.

But don't get me wrong. I really like the player. Just hope the Leafs develop him the right way and instill good habits, because the skill level is obvious.

Wow the production of this broadcast is hilariously bad. Can't believe they cut out 20 seconds of the play to show canned footage of the guy who scored posing. It's like the producers have never watched a game of hockey before.

Please don't tell me there was a jersey throwing at a Marlies game..

Nope, they were giving away a Habs jersey to the loudest fan. Some guy with a leafs jersey won and put the Habs jersey on over the leafs jersey :shakehead

Not trying to sound like a dick...BUT. who the hell does that?? why not just accept the jersey and leave it at that. Guy is a Marlies/Leafs fan and puts on a Habs/Bulldogs jersey cause he won it... :shakehead

So Connor Brown is having a good rookie year statistically. Does he have it in him to keep graduating leagues and producing points? Or does he top out as a minor league scorer? Seems like he might be one of those guys who just proves people wrong.

From what I've seen of Brown, i would be surprised if he wasnt in the NHL in a few years. He is a hard working player that is willing to do it all. Honestly, seems like a guy you would give a letter too.

condon has stole the game for the bulldogs, saving everything. carrick was being physical and on the puck, nylander had a calm but decent game, nice passes.
